My original point was that it seems as though predominantly black high schools seem to always have black principals. That said, I had it figured out pretty much how to behave in school at the age of ten. Judicious use of a paddle can accelerate the learning process. (Been there, had to sit gingerly more than once.) That said, I'm now retired and laughing until my eyes water at these kids!

@BCCButters711 There's a broad fuzzy line between Oppositional Defiant Disorder (a DSM-IV diagnosis) and normal adolescent rebellion. That said, I had it figured out pretty much how to behave in school at the age of ten. Judicious use of a paddle can accelerate the learning process. (Been there, had to sit gingerly more than once.) That said, I'm now retired and laughing until my eyes water at these kids!

@jazzitupabit29 We had one of those bad cookies in school where his Dad decided enough is enough and sent him to military school. Didn't do much good. The last thing I heard about the guy is he's on a very long stay with the State Department of Corrections.
