dose any one have all of the brady brides and the 1990's show the Brades the hole sries that some can up lode when I wave them I have all of the brady bunch shows made with the real cast please up lode if you have then thanks
yeah maureen had developed an alchohol and drug problem, had affairs with eveyone including sammy davis junior and had a couple of abortions -she use to be aregular at the playboy mansion-this according to her book
I presume you're referring to the original Brady Bunch (as Donny & Marie frequently had black guests) and yes, there were a occasionally blacks on the show (a girl in the Davy Jones episode instantly jumps to mind). One has to understand TV segregation in that era rather than labeling it a "racist show." I mean, how many white folks were on Good Times, Sanford and Son or even The Cosby Show? Not many. It's only been in the last decade that they've tried to blend a myriad of skin tones on TV.
your facts are incorrect BBVH...Good Tmes , Sanford and Son, etc were shows that took place in ethnic neighborhoods(mostly latino or black), but there were WHITE visitors on the black shows of the 1970s..Having lived thru this time period , i can say that there were plenty of black faces on white shows during the 70s... now as for the 50s , well thats a different story....
...to fit our wholesome image...now THAT'S funny. Marcia didn't fit the wholesome image the whole time...a two-time baby killing coke whore. Things that make you go hmmmm...
It's been a while since I've watched "Mary Hartman," (which was a soap opera satire, for those who don't know) but it seems like it opens with some strange sponsor subtitle like that. "Mary Hartman" was new and pretty controversial at the time, so "Wholesome Playhouse" is pretty appropriate for the squeaky clean image of the Osmonds and Bradys.
@BBVHFan Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman was a strange enigma; everyone and their dog in the late 70's knew the show but few actually watched it. (It was a cult favorite in terms of it's real ratings nationally.) Today it's an even bigger curiosity as a result. Everyone parodied it back then, (including the original SNL cast,) but finding it now is hard even with a DVD release.

They did a spoof of "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" on "The Carol Burnett Show" too. Probably was in MAD magazine as well, come to think of it.

There were A LOT of white guest stars on Cosby. It was the first show that did interacial as much as it did.

@mcx99 Your term "person of color" is also loaded with racial bias and exclusion so join the club.
