well to be exact its a SCAR-H(for heavy), it uses 14.something(or was it 17?), so its classified as a battle rifle(battle rifles use full size bullets), wich i believe is equal to a sniper so ur not all that wrong, the last true battle rifle made was the m14. hope i was informative:)
@ttaaddoo111 Fraid I have to correct you, being the gun nut that I am. It does go by the SCAR-H but also goes by the classification of SCAR Mk.17 (pronounced 'Mark 17'). The bullet it uses is a full-size 7.62x51mm NATO round, the same round used in the M14. It is indeed a battle rifle, as is usually the classification for any rifle using a full sized round and meant for non-sniper range combat. And battle rifles are somewhat popular in services including the HK G3, the M14, and the FAL.

@marioman2161 Nope : ). Got interested in guns when I started gaming but it was Delta Force: Black Hawk Down that sparked my interest and I've spent a bit of my free time doing open research since : P. And believe me, I despise Call of Duty weapon experts as much as the next guy haha.

Yeah the SCAR is modular, and it is quite often used in a sniper rifle configuration. That's just how awesome it is :D
