hey patrick, just wanted to say thanks so much. i have been trying to make sense of the examples in my book for hours and have been able to understand bits and pieces of them, but your video made everything clear. you have a real talent for teaching; i have learned a lot from your videos. thanks again!
Pound force versus Newton. It seems to work just fine to my surprise. Of topic question: how do Americans convert their cubic measurements to standard volume measurements ? How do inches and feet relate to fluid ounces and gallons ?
@ProductofWit I forgot to think. Just convert to the respected length measurement. Use one gallon or fluid ounce in cubic measurements as a reference and divide. Silly question of mine. ;)
Plz organize these awesome vids on the logical order that they should be watched. Both on utube and ur site. thanks. ppl thump up so that we get his attention if u agree.
@mfs0457 nah bro, I am not complaining at all, it was just a thought, something I thought might be a good thing to do. Certainly would be helpful for me. If ur brain thinks otherwise, Then that's fine our logical reasoning is different.
Sorry to ask you here i think i have a question. Why you substitute pg with 62.5 i know that 62.5 is water density in lb/ft^3 and where the gravity(g) goes or i'm misunderstand something?
Both Khan and Patrick do what they do perfectly. Khan takes the time to explain things thoroughly at a slow pace to help anyone understand. Patrick explains things faster maybe not as thorough but is more useful for people to use as review videos and/or just want to get to the point. Both are perfect at what they do. So I don't thing one should be considered better than the other.
@sullivanseven glad you like the vids, but there is plenty of room on the internet for all! i intend my videos to be more of supplements - i think khan does it all from the ground up sometimes. i always figured people can just read the book for the proof/justification, but now i realize people still like to hear someone else's take, so i am also trying to do a bit more of the justifcation/proof. i give the general idea of why we do all of this in another video.
Thanks for replying :) I think a deep understanding stays longer with us, yet sometimes I can't spend 4x10 minutes seeing someone drawing and erasing some thing again and again. I have a lot of things to do and most of the times need to know the gits of a concept. Your videos are usually shorter and right to the point because you are more prepared and I prefer seeing a real paper. But I think you'll be successful in whichever direction you go :) I recommend your videos to everyone
@theprocrastinator100 I made the last algebra operation and I got = 2*(125/2)*(10*(9*pi/4)-9) = 7710.729338221294. I made the 62.5 to a fraction 125/2

@ProductofWit And you probably use coefficients when calculating currents and energy values.

For those wondering what the answer is at the end it's:
7710.729338 (Calculator answer)
-or-
7710 lbs (rounded to 3 significant figures assuming that initial measurements included 3 significant figures)
