That will almost never work with the turbulence coming off the tee top. try drifting with a drift anchor in 10-15 mph winds.. It's almost been a year since your post.. Any more luck??

you should carry a large hellium ballon with you next time. If you cant get the kite in the air tie the ballon to it.
