  • Any information about if these issues got fixed in the newest P22 Q version?

  • the guns a POS, end of story. We got hosed as consumers

  • Stop moving your hands out of frame i.e. out of the camera's lense. We can't see what you are doing when you pull the weapon to your body, OK? Think about it.

  • Part of the problem is you're using cheap solid lead bullets, try using CCI Mini Mags (Or other copper/non-wax coated bullets), the copper jacketed bullet reduces the friction while moving from magazine to chamber, so it doesn't catch. The biggest problem with 22lrs, it seems, is that people tend to buy the garbage bulk packs of bullets, trying to get 525 rounds for $20. Spend more for the copper jacketed rounds and your gun will run as smoothly as a higher caliber gun. My P22 does.

  • Great review !!

  • I wouldn't recommend filing the hammer. I would use a stone. probably India then Arkansas. make sure to follow the original angle of the hammer or it will just cut harder into the slide. you will probably want to polish the slide too. as for the feed ramp, a sanding drum on a dremel very lightly just to get rid of the bur then a polishing wheel w compound.

and the extraction issue can probably be solved by removing and cleaning the extractor and it's channel. if not then pull the spring and s

  • i just got this gun and pur 550 rounds threw it mine was used and had bin gun smiithed hammeer wise but that laast round seems to end up down my v neck shirt so i suggest giting your hammer smithed

  • I can fix it if you like. Slight issues, nothing a little file cant fix. dont be scared, a little grong here and there woont hurt it a bit. That is how the come out of the factory. It is up to you to tune it and make sure it is good to go. You can file the tip of the hammer and problem solved. They have complete spring and guides that screw together but dont even worry about that. and the feed is in part because your slide is binding.

  • the biggest problem i've had is safety creep...or walking. the recoil or cycling of the slide causes the safety to flick on after a few rounds. i've worked on it a bit tonight and hopefully this weekend i'll be able to test it to see if it worked.

  • Thanks for the heads-up. Good review, keep up the good work.

  • I bought a used one, after reading comments and reviews. I put a full 555 round box through it. One issue that I seen, that you had addressed, was that the barrel nut comes loose. I also found that, in my situation, using federal rounds jam the gun constantly, while using remmington rounds were excellent. Good review none the less

  • I would like to know, which one would you recommend. In simillar price.

    thanks

  • Great info

  • got qite a bit of ammo through mine. only problems for me occur when shooting ceap hollowpoints.

  • @ultalover0708 Use 40 grain bullets. Iv had good luck with cheaper Federal 40 grain bullets.

  • holy shit I am sooooooo glad I seen this before I went and bought one of these. Thank you very much for this vid.

  • Good vid, but I've put thousands of rounds through mine with ZERO issues. I love it to hell.

  • got 5000 rds through mine with no problems

  • Thanks for the review. I had wondered about the take down slides on both sides, as it looked kinda weak and you showed that it was. There seem to be too many other flaws with this weapon to consider it. Too bad, as Walther is generally a name that can be trusted.

  • I almost bought this gun f to keep in the bedside table. But now I'm thinking I'll pass. Maybe Walther should tell their engineers to put down the bongs and get to work on improving the design.

  • I almost got this gun today but I wanted to think about it now I'm thinking I'll pass. Thanks for the info.

  • sounds like you need the new ruger sr22 pistole. has all the benifits of the p22 none of the flaws. :)

  • I have never had a single problem out of my P22....I bought it in 2006 and have well over 10k rounds through it. Everyone I talk to said they have so many different problems with theirs. I have never had 1

  • i have put easily 200 rounds through mine and i have never had these problems

  • P22 is a shit handgun. Quality is comparable to the olden days of Taurus throwaways.

  • @phantomshtter Any recommendations?

  • @MrNelsonButterscotch I'd need to know what you're looking for to begin with. A target pistol? Something concealable? Home defense? Any particular caliber? Answer those and I could steer you right.

  • @phantomshtter Target pistol, preferably in 9mm. I heard the Sig p229(?) is pretty good

  • @MrNelsonButterscotch Sig is an excellent choice, you will not go wrong there. I'm picking up a Ruger Mark III competition here shortly for target shooting and plinking, I would love to get into some rimfire competitions with it in the future. If .22lr is a caliber consideration for you and target shooting is your poison I'd highly suggest checking out both the Mark III and the Browning buckmark, .22 is a blast to shoot and at about $50 for 1000 rounds bulk you could shoot ALL DAY LONG.

  • @phantomshtter I have shot the Ruger mark II and I believe the mark III before, I loved them. Thanks very much for the recommendation, I'll have to look into them!

  • I think russian PM is a good pistol without that problems because it is simple as brick. anyway i'mm going to guy p22

  • S&W customer service agrees it's a poor quality gun. My front sight flew off under fire, customer service said they would mail me some new ones and to use super glue as they frequently fly off made of cheap plastic. My takedown lever broke first time I disassembled the gun. bought new in 2011. I agree with video author, poor quality. one year limited warranty. its been in repair longer than I have been able to use the gun. I do not recommend this weapon, and frankly neither does cust. svc.

  • i got one like 05 its had its probs but i just shoot em out .yeah feed prob good point mine does that from time too time but a good cleaning a little file on that ramp.boomboom.i think its a good lil gun for the cost .its basicly my pack pistol/plinker...the putting back together needs a lil working on.that spring is a pain without that plastic thing ....but hey you got it....all in all its a good little pistol.its no 10/22 but for a .22 plinker it does the job

  • Theres nothing major wrong with the gun man.

  • Have EXACTLY same issues. Purchased new, first breakdown for cleaning the plastic drop clip for removing receiver broke in half. Six weeks back to manufacturer I get my gun back repaired. Next time shooting, front sight flies off the gun! It only shoots one brand ammo, whinchester yellow jacket hollow point. The lead bullet has a wax type coating that helps the rounds chamber better, but still misfeeds frequently. Very disappointed in lack of quality for a new gun

  • I really think it's also the fixed barrel design. I like the tilting barrel like glock that helps feed bullets to the feeding ramp. Really good video. A guy has one for sell here for 300 and I think I'm going to pass due to your help. Thank u for a great video

  • I have a p22, shot all sorts of cheaper ammo w/o too many problems, but it loves the CCI velocitors 1435 40 grain hp.

  • Mine works like a champ. Made in 2011. I heard its just in the older ones.

  • i use Outers gunslick lube, just a little on the rails and a bit on the top of the hammer where its going to hit the slide...rack it a few times and you are go to go

  • I have ran over 300 rounds through mine including 50 today. I have not had a malfunction or Jamb yet. I clean it everytime it's used as i do all my weapons. It is over 2 years old and not a hiccup yet. That doesn't mean it won't fail but it is the main reason i bought a PK380 last year as a ccw weapon.

  • I have this exact model and it suffers from all the issues shown in this video. maybe they improved it in later models, I do not know. I also do not like how this gun has to be de cocked. The only way mine will is with a magazine in place. I understand there is a safety but I sill prefer to do this unloaded without a magazine as with my other guns.

  • A toy gun,,,bad,failure alwais....my walter22 finish in trash

  • Took my wife's P22 to the range last week for the first time; your video is painfully accurate. I expected more from the gun.

  • Good rewiew. We have guncontrol here in Finland so it's complicated to buy this kind of firearms.

  • cci hypervoliecity works veart around 6 bucks for 50 u have to make. sure u are not shooting the 22 950 feet per second ammo you need at least the 1250 feet per second its a premadonna gun

  • Good review. I have the p22 and it does not like cheap ammo. I bought some Federal stuff and the lead was loose in the brass. It would not feed that ammo at all. I dont believe that was the weapons fault. It will feed and eject quality ammo with no problems.

  • check out the Ruger copy of this gun SR22 pistol

  • Ps he has an old model weapon they fixed all those issues

  • This video is out dated and I have had no problems with mine other than the some jams which is very common with.22 lr weapons

  • It really is a pain in the ass that guide rod and spring....

  • I am experiencing 1st round loading jams, multiple round autofeed jams, barrel nut losening, and have had the gun change automatically change from "F" (fire) to "S" (safe) during a round of firing a magazine causing me to think the rounds were bad. After several what I thought were duds I discovered the gun was on safety. This happened twice to me during firing a full magazine. So far I have fired about 3000 rounds out of this gun and the problems are persistent.

  • Thanks for doing a review of this pistol and citing specifically your complaints. I was looking to purchase one, but I'll wait for the manufacturers to fix the problems you've mentioned. It has been my experience that many .22 autos are dainty and malfunction/jam after their tiny parts have worn in a little bit. I had hoped Walther would be an exception.

  • I have the same gun very happy with it .I keep my gun clean and oil.Not a problem with mine u got a lemon.

  • Shot 500 rounds of CCI stinger last weekend with mine and not one problem. Keep it cleaned and well oiled and it should work fine. 22lr is dirty ammo and is going to gum up an action faster than anything out there. if you are shooting bulk 22 ammo the gun will jam. shoot some CCi Stinger or cci mini mag. If you want a flawless action you are going to have to spend more than $300 dollars. I use it for cheap range practice and carry a 9mm walther pps. Try different ammo, it will help.

  • Warning! Yesterday my son was in the back yard firing the Walter P22 and the slide SHATTERED hitting him in the face. We called Walther and as soon as he told them what hapend, they put him on hold for 45 mins. Will let you know how they handle the issue, for now they just want us to send them the gun. Other than this problem, the gun has been awsome and no, the ammo was your standard winchester 40 grain .22

  • Dude it's a great gun if u get it stock u have to put some extra money into it to have the results u want

  • Amateurish at Best. If this is a fair assessment of this gun, here is a fair assessment of your video: The lighting is un even, it's repetitive and needs editing. You go out of frame... Frankly it's defective. Sure I could re edit it but should I have to do that with a new video?

  • Comment removed

  • @noreast77 How about you show this guy the proper way to make a video since you are the expert on it?

  • @c8tdawwg he can surf on over to my channel any time he likes. I don't have to be an expert on a particular subject to spot poor work- do you??

  • @noreast77 What about reviewing one of your own?

  • @c8tdawwg My video is AWESOME... 5 Stars! Thanks for playing. ROFLMAOAY!

  • @trabujar: "I don't know how to operate it, therefore it is defective."

  • @battleborn2002 you got that right

  • This video has no credibility. If you want to chamber a round do it by pulling the slide back, not by using the slide release. His use of live rounds at the workbench tells me this guy is an amateur. I own three p22s and have experienced none of the problems this guy makes.

  • @battleborn2002 your comment has no credibility, your argument is basically "i like this gun, therefore it is flawless"

  • Comment removed

  • its your bullets

  • Nice, detailed video. It does have some design flaws for sure. It took me forever to get mine apart. I finally had to use a leather cloth with pliers to unhinge that plastic piece you mentioned and I'm a strong guy. Fires accurately, but you must use more expensive, high-velocity rounds as the other rounds' casings won't eject after each shot. That fixed my ejection issues with it.

  • I bought this 2 weeks ago cuz i thought it looked cool. Well, it does look good, but under the hood it's garbage. That plastic lock thing will loosen up, the safety crawls down from fire to safe mode while shooting, the slide is made of aluminum and it grinds it out horribly, Also, the front sight pops out while shooting (omg lol). There is a P22 guide out there to help fix some of this issues which include using dremel tool. For 400$ I should not have to do this shit. Period.

  • @gconol walther isnt a "cheap" gun...was it bought used or new?

  • @2009bse I bought it new 2011 model. I specifically wanted it cuz i thought 2011 model would have all the previous problems fixed, but i was wrong. I recently bought the Beretta 21a Bobcat and I can tell you that it's is far superior in build quality than the P22. At least, the safety doesnt flip and the Iron sights doesn't pop out while shooting. It has its own issues, but I can live with it. I'm just not confident with the P22. I feel like it'll explode on me each time I pull the trigger.

  • @gconol im just seeing so many reviews and some are saying its amazing but some are saying its a piece so im just not sure if its worth my money...

  • @2009bse If it was a cheap gun that runs around 200-300$ then I would recommend it. However, for 350-400 with all the issues that plagues it, I wouldn't. For that price range, i'd rather buy a 380 or 9mm.

  • @gconol Walther made a new version of the p22 that makes the gun very good, I have shot the new version and it is very fun to shoot

  • @gconol alright thanks for the review...

  • @gconol You bought it because it "looked cool"? Are you serious??

  • @splintercell186 Are you being sarcastic ? Have you look at other 22cal pistols lately? most of them look ugly, something that my grandma would've shot 100 years ago. There are other better looking pistols but they have horrible reviews and so far the P22 has the better score in terms of reliability.

  • @gconol hey woooow wait, i did't say anyhting about any hand gun, let alone was on this page. who ever in my family did, must not know alot about hand guns. lol, no really i didnt say anything,

  • Excellent review. I have one of these guns but I haven't shot it much. I will be watching for these problems now that you have pointed them out.

  • Does anyone else think that a guy who will gouge at the chamber with an hex wrench probably isn't the best person to listen to about firearms maintenance?

  • Thanks for the review. I'm disappointed because I liked the appearance of the P22. Now I'll be going with SIG like Tars.

  • @shoopdj old review... mine has about 3 thousand rounds through it and has failed about 7 times

  • I am so glad I found this. I was JUST about to buy one of these. Going with the SIG 1911-22 instead. Thanks!

  • over 800 rounds. never ever had this problem. never had a problem,

  • Mine works great and I have never had a FTF! Walter made improvements to the later mags and i think the guns too. You can look this up and check the serial numbers to see what gun you have. The only thing I have noticed with mine is that some ammo brands don't cycle the slide hard enough to engage the hold open.

  • Hiyas! Check out the "Walther P22 Bible for answers and solutions. The author put 27,500 through one! The mods he suggests start about page 46. Should find all you need there. Good luck to every one who has one of these that's hexed.

  • theres a plastic pice for guide rod extention dumb ass

  • I have the same problems with mine. Shipped it off to Smith&Wesson, its was gone about a week and I got it back with a letter stating NOTHING was wrong. They in fact sugessted that it was the round i was using. So..... I purchased what they recomended which was CCI mini mags. To this day I still have issues, but not near as many. Could just be me? Maybe not? For the cost of this little gun. Not worth the headache.

  • use some duct tape it will be fine i have found this to fix most of my guns and improves accuracy lol

  • Comment removed

  • I was going to buy one; now I'm not. Thanks. Most 22 pistols are shit and revolvers in 22 are over priced.

  • Comment removed

  • I shot one of these pieces of shit today. I took my daughter to the range. So I rented the p22. The lady cut the tags off it because it had never been fired. I noticed a design flaw before I fired the first shot. The rear of the magazine is too wide and the rounds have the ability slide from side to side. As I was loading it I pointed it out to a friend. I fired one shot. Then I let my daughter fire the other 9 rounds. I loaded a second mag. She fired 1 round from the new mag and it dry fired.

  • only beef I have with this video is that your calling it a weapon. It's only considered a weapon if you intend to us it in service or intend to harm someone with it. Otherwise call it a fire arm so as to avoid feeding the bullshit that antigun people use to try and take guns away.

  • I'm looking for a GOOD .22 pistol that a TAC65 can fit, can anyone plz help out? thanks.

  • its a gun that is less than $300 new! what do you expect??

  • I'm totally disgusted with these design flaws! I hope you and anyone that watches or reads these comments to unwaveringly contact their gun dealers about these reprehensible issues. I'll write Walther, but will send all the other video's found on YouTube concerning these issue and with the URL's added.

    Shame on them!

    Thanks for the heads up!

  • Wow, totally unbelievable and not to mention it’s made of plastic!

Not that I care about Walther, but that's a good enough reason to inform Walther you intend on contacting your governmental agency about this potentially dangerous pistol! That being said, Walther may very well offer you your money back without question! I’m sure many appreciate this unprecedented pistol video, I do.

    Much Thanks!!

  • I've had a P22 for 6 years and it shoots great and I've never had a problem taking it down for cleaning. The only problem I have occasionally is the slide jamming when I put in a new mag and hit the release. It just takes a moment to rework the slide and replace the round in the mag and then it works fine. Never had a problem with the Zytel parts, they've held up quite well, even after 1000 rounds! BTW Bond used a P99 from Tomorrow Never Dies onward.

  • dude i own this weapon!!! luvvvvvvv it! no issues,,its accurate, dependable, not cheap feeling!! this is a good fun gun.......................

  • I have a a walther p22 the trick is. Its the ammo use CCI ammo works the best never had any problems

  • i have a P22 and have not had any of these issues. and as far as the James Bond thing well he had a walther PPK not a P22 they are completely dif guns.

  • This isn't really a bad gun, its fun to plink with, and in my opinion it doesn't have that many issues I've noticed when I've shot it, but every gun has its issues and problems sometimes, it happens, no gun is perfect.

  • Too many issues for me to even consider this weapon. It's a shame because it looks sharp.

  • What about slightly polishing or honing the contact points, including the ramp? I've heard that this require 300 rounds of CCI minimags to break in, same thing. How many rounds through this P22?

  • Hopefully the manufacturer will step up and make this right...if they are reading this they should know that my money will go to another brand/manufacturer, probably my old friend Ruger. My only frustration with the Ruger standard auto was the learning curve on the field strip procedure, otherwise, thousands and thousands of rounds of plinking fun. Good luck.

  • my dad just got the p22 and at first when we were using the cheap bulk federal ammo and yes we had many feeding and extracting problems. online i heard to stay away from the hollow points and look for quality rounds since we've been trying lots of different rounds and the quality stuff works way better than the cheap stuff.

  • I could either get a p22 or a Bersa Thunder 22. I chose the Bersa and 400 rounds later only 2 failure to feeds.

  • good review thanks for the headsup

  • Be SURE to get a 2nd generation P22 with the MODIFIED and corrected magazine which eliminates 90% of the feeding/jamming issues. If you already own a 1rst generation P22 buy the newer mags and most of the issues will disappear. That said, this is the only gun I've ever owned that I did have to "tinker" with to get it to work right. but it is SUPER FUN to shoot now, over 500 rounds with only 2 failure to feed. Shot placement is AWESOME.But is is a trainer/backup. DEADLY but with issues.

  • I have 3 p22 and he did point out the obvious in this video I don't have any of these problems because a I clean my guns b I use mini mags

  • Very good explaination of the P22 issues. There were two problems in this video that were happening to me. Now I know what to look for. Well done. Dennis M.

  • I think the issue is with the creator of this video. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. I can see the ammo he is feeding is bulk federal. This is a GREAT design in my opinion. I does like the better ammo and works flawlessly with copper plated CCI MINI MAG ammunition.

  • I feed 200 rounds at a time through my P22 with no problems. Use CCI Mini Mags if you want to eliminate FTF.

  • wrong ammo

  • Good video, hope they fix the problems.

  • I have NEVER had a problem with mine and it eats a brick every saturday, rain, shine, snow tidalwave hurricane whatever...I'm there at the range plugging away.I have the "target" model. things I DO know, Stop taking it apart! If you don't over work that plastic clip it wont come loose. DON't shoot aguilla SSS through it, damn hard on the mechanism! maybe i got a jewel....but I love it (though it is a finger short on the grip, I have monster hands i guess)

  • Dude, you just saved my ass.

I was 1/4 inch away from buying this today at Bass Pro. Figured I'd give it to my girlfriend, she hates shooting so I was hoping it'd end up in my arsenal, haha.

But the smart side of me decided it was worth looking in to before buying it just because it looked good.

1,000 thanks to you, good sir. You potentially saved me almost $500.

  • Interesting. I have never had these problems with mine and I have over 1000 rounds through it. I do like the way you are putting it back together, that is a pain in the ass

  • you must use CCI AMMO in a p22

  • I took my new P22 to the range today and fired 150 CCI mini-mags without a single failure. My gun is coded BB, so I guess it was produced in 2011. Maybe Walther has made some improvements since the making of this video. I love the way it shoots, but it is a pain in the neck to reassemble due to the spring being twice as long as the rod. Overall, I am very satisfied. A fun little plinker!

  • Comment removed

  • so the gun is pretty much junk! that s why i bought a glock 19

  • I bought a used Walther p22 a few years ago and had nothing but problems. I sold it a and bought a brand new p22. If I use Winchester ammo my p22 fails to feed. Now I use Remington gold point bullets and I don't have that issue any more.

  • i have shot at least close to 2000 rounds through mine (150 at a time most of the time) and dont have these issues. if you use a light ebrassion grinding stone on a dremel at mid low speends for a few seconds it smothes that ridge on the round load ramp smother than glass (as it seems anyway) i prefer shooting the rem. gold hollowpoints, never have a FTE or a FTC

  • Whoa p22 is not all bad just read the Bible and you will know what ammo to shoot in it.

Stingers are good, Minimags are ideal Winchester HV 40gr work great and are pretty accurate.

Simple rule heavy load hi velocity or hyper, this will fix most if not all feed problems.

If you shoot HPs you should chamfer the barrel or get someone qualified to do it for you.

Grease is common on guns esp blocks and other euro guns, as with any lube use only what you need.

  • I bought a p22 and I love it. Gotta say I have none of the problems you outlined. I'm shooting bulk Winchester ammo out of it. I just wanted something fun/economical to practice/plink with. This fits the bill. I'm guessing there are some quality control issues, seeing as some folks have lots of gripes and other love them. For me, this proved to be a great value.

  • Thanks for this video! You just saved me about $350.00.

  • Good video and nice pointers I have a friend who liked the design but after this I will recomend not buying it. We have to remember it is a cheap gun buy still it should work properly beeing new.

  • Thanks. Your video was very helpful in my researching 22 pistols for the propose of choosing one to buy. I had a brief experience with the Walther p22 last weekend and experienced the exact problems you outline with respect to FTF and FTE. I wasn't familiar enough that the time to know why it was happening, but it acted exactly as you described and demonstrated.

Only thing I'd suggest to improve your video would be a little more light when showing internal details in the action. Great job!

  • P22 = Piece of Shiet! At least it looks cute!

  • All the problems you had with this gun I've had myself. Here in Spain, the dealers do not give me a solution, they say the same thing, wich is a design problem. Anyway, thanks for making me feel that I was not the only one who has had these problems.

  • I own this gun and LOVE it. its a great little gun and i have zero problems with it. the missfeeding problem your encountering, has nothing to do with the magazine, or the chamber, this gun takes specific ammo. cheap rounds cant be fired with it, or it will jam. it has to use high grade ammo, such as Mini Mags. if you use those it WILL NOT jam. EVER. overall this gun is great. i have no problems with it. if your looking for a nice 22, this by far is a great purchase.

  • @ShipMaster239

all guns jam if they havent, you havent shot it enough. ESPECIALLY rimfires

  • @pvtsnoballz this one doesnt jam when you use the correct ammo. i would know i shoot it constantly. and i shoot many rimfires.

  • ask for a refund and then buy a RUGER 10/45..the best of the very best..

  • 22LR is a rimmed cartrige. Filing the lip on the feeding ramp is idiotic. That was my first idea, but I'm glad I didn't blurt it out without thinking for 3 seconds.

  • made in germany.good quality handgun

  • @loicjvbn

Bzzzzt. Wrong. Piece of shit handgun. Made in Germany, yes, but by Umarex in Koln for Walther, not by Walther itself. Zinc-alloy slide and zinc MIM internals. Absolute piece of shit.

  • i liked you video i hav had mp22 for a whille now and have run10,000 rounds and now is when i'm have a little

problems,,i notice the bump.. does any one know if it should be removed i think this a great 22 i guess my problems with it are due to wear i shoot it a lot

  • Shittiest gun Evarrrr. Though, James Bond made it look good.

  • He did. And it does look good and feels good to hold. Just dont rely on it to save your life.

  • @Tacticalreview

I've used the 9mm Glock. I was very accurate with it and it was easy to use. Seems like a better choice.

  • @Tacticalreview ummm this is no fuckin james bond gun thats just stupid. im sure the producers of james bond wouldnt be dumb enough to put a training gun in a movie this is what you give to a kid or a girlfriend out shooting and its in almost no way meant for edc or protecting your life and your families lives...

  • @Tacticalreview He didn't. Bond owns a Walther PPK, not a P22. :)

  • @Tacticalreview James Bond never used the P22. He used the P99 for a short time, but he has now moved back to the PPK due to the requests of fans of the franchise.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview

...except he used a p99, dumbass.

  • @pvtsnoballz

How long did you spend on Wikipedia looking it up FUCKSTICK?

  • @bigtruckseriesreview

none, im just not an idiot.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview

    or blind.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview-

Bond used the P99, not the P22...........Didn't he???

  • @bigtruckseriesreview James bond made the P99 look good. This is a different gun.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview best gun

  • @bigtruckseriesreview james bond made ppk not p22 look good

  • @bigtruckseriesreview guys that's the walther p99 9mm idiots

  • @bigtruckseriesreview James Bond didn't use the P22. He has used the PPK, P5 and P99.

  • wow glad i went with the pk380 and not the 22 not a single problem with it yet.

  • This may be a little late, but I had 2 of these with feeding issues. In disassembling and examining the slide, I noticed a metal bump that the slide would just barely scrape and lose enough velocity to cause feeding problems. After discussing with the shop I bought it from, I exchanged it, same problem. Bringing the second one back, the gunsmith and I took apart several P22's and saw the bump on all P22's the same color as mine. Other models didn't have it. They must have secretly fixed it.

  • On the first round of the magazine, try pulling back the slide as far as it goes and make sure you drop it. Don't let the slide go into battery by releasing the slide stop with your finger. It needs that extra force when you pull it back completely. Also make sure you use a high velocity round such as CCI stingers and you should have no feed issues.

  • Mine has nothin wrong with it I think yours was poorly made
