In all honesty america losing its AAA rating to a AA+ rating is not that big of a deal. The only thing that made it a big deal was the month long media coverage that put the idea into the markets head. Granted the markets were vunerable to crash, but a ratings downgrade should not have caused it, this crash was caused by the media promoting fear around that issue... my guess is they will use it as an excuse to print more money.
