  • It's like the Moon landing all over again.

  • Particles? No...

    These... are... SPARTACLES!!!

  • It is a bit depressing to think that we can only understand something new if we tether it to something already understood. What happens if we find something way out there? Can we perceive it? What if we already have found something beyond us but have masked it with our own small understanding?

  • Maria Spiropulu = hot physicist = I like.

  • those neutrinos were discovered in a particle detector called OPERA in Italy. The neutrinos were first created in the old CERN accelerator when protons were collided. The neutrinos were then aimed at OPERA and travelled through the Earth's crust until eventually the odd few hit the large graphite detector in Italy. The distance and time were known so the velocity was easily found. The new CERN accelerator has not been used yet.

  • @92mikemc

the new CERN accelerator has been operative for over a year now

  • is the CERN lab discussed in this video the same one that recently discovered neutrinos (particles that travel faster than light)?

  • i pity the fool who takes this shit seriously, Theories are theories and at some point they will be proven wrong. Believing 100% is just as retarded as believing in god ot instant lottery tickets

  • @professorfontana I pity the fools who ought other people think they take this serious. Its a theory, the problem is that they (the people in the movie) think, and you dont think. You take thinks for granted, so you do nothing else then stall. Perhaps the persons in this video are wrong, They are experimenting the known to understand the unknown. Give them some credit. Nobody takes this shit serious, But it is important to understand the idea behind such theories, Own ideas are created
  • @professorfontana

    ideas of others.

    Were stuck at einstein,

these peopel tend to experiment further, just let them do it and shut your mouth.

  • @professorfontana if your going to have that type of mentality then your never going to get anywhere

  • ....what is 4? ohhh....nothing..wait! 4 please, no-yea

right. what ohh yea The store is now.. closed for business,

    7 maybe.

    OH OK!!

    Yes...I glad you get it

    nope mr.Fractal

  • in the last page of the quran god stated man and jinns

they or else the grey aliens really exist on the other side than

  • @PhuQuangLe111 The Quran is only good for wiping the ass.

  • If god exists, then:

Harry potter is a real wizard,

    a ten sided triangle exists,

a sphere with three corners exists,

    a flat sphere exists

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine Yea, well you better do some testing on the God theory

because if Harry Potter becomes a wizard than its only for the movies

just like you think about the world is equal to movies

the real world is run by the God and the spirit world thats no lack of common sense right there

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine Quantum mechanics, m/string theory don't prove the existence or non existence of God, so chill fool

  • Now if you have valid, scientific evidence of his existence I would like to see it.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine I wish I could, but instead he increase doubts in you

heres my question to you................do you have a dog ?

How did that dog get there you say ?

  • Why not have "2" atom smashers on either end of a staightaway; shooting the protons toward the middle, increasing the odds of head-on collision??

  • (cont.).. Let's suggest that sound is in fact what set the strings into motion.. "God SAID let there be light, and there was light." And if it is was God who set our universe into motion, then He would be the only one who could end it. I am not naive enough to think that everyone will think as i do, or that i have any answers. to me it just makes sense since we all do share the same amino acids and are composed of the same elements that we all originated from the same place.

  • @pookermucker05

God is an invention of man. There is no sapient creator, there is only nature

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine how do you define nature?

  • @pookermucker05

I don't define it as a god nor the supernatural. Thats for sure. And neither do scientists. As I said your god does not exist

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine okay, how would you define nature, in the most scientific form of the word.

  • @pookermucker05

Natural is from nature, a definition you should know. It is our universe and all things that are from it. One thing that isn't part of nature or anything else is god, he is an mere invention by man, a lie, a myth, and a fairy tale.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine i think we have the same argument. I assume you are saying that everything we know and everything in our solar system and on are planet all is the product of nature. A series of events that can be dated and measured to some end. That nature is the go to answer for the questions of mankind. It is the end all be all of answers. How did we get here? nature. What is my purpose? nature will decide. You believe the answers are found in nature. While i believe the answer is God.

  • @pookermucker05

God doesn't exist, thats the problem with your argument.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine How do you know for certain, beyond a shadow of a doubt that he does not exist? Everyone always talks about evidence. I would love to hear what you believe, for reals, im not being sarcastic. I would love an answer that doesnt just involve the phrase, "god isnt real"

  • @pookermucker05

    Here are several reasons:

    1) He doesn't exist for the same reason a 10 sided triangle doesn't exist.

2)There is no evidence of his existence, thus I can rule him out just as I can rule out the existence of Santa Clause for lack of evidence.

3)The only thing that says he exists is the bible, full of contradictions, historical inaccuracies, myths, and the bible, both old and new testament are rip off copies of pagan religions. Thats right, Christianity and Judaism are lies

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine In your opinion is it just the Judeo-Christian God that is not real, or are Allah, Buddha, etc also mythical. Is it impossible for there to be something else outside of ourselves at all, including extraterrestrial beings.

  • @pookermucker05

We were created by natural processes, not by any being or person, human or non human. There could be other persons in other parts of the universe, but they are as natural as us. There are no omnipotent, omniscient creators. In other words, there are no gods. Such gods cannot exist in any reality or in any universe.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine are you sure that these beings haven't evolved to such an extent that they have the ability to bend time and space and gaze into the future or past, or to read our thoughts? You would just assume that it is impossible, because you can't remove yourself from the environment from which you live. you feel safe knowing that you have all the answers, because then you don't have to ask questions. To blatantly same its impossible means you don't have to think about it at all.

  • @pookermucker05

Are ad hominems the best you can do? Yes I am certain that such beings have not evolved, that is not how evolution works and not to mention we would be sucked into black holes from such distortions of space-time. How do we know a giant meat ball monster isn't doing it? Or Santa Clause, or the tooth fairy, or puff the magic dragon? And if such beings could do such a thing, they would have left evidence of such actions. Faith and speculation is not fact.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine perhaps the evolution of species on other planets happens differently from our own. There are hundreds of other galaxies in the universe. Like the string theory suggests, that there are whole other dimensions that we cant even see. To claim that it is impossible would not take into consideration anything outside out our own solar system or galaxy for that matter. We have so little understanding of the universe in which we live, im just asking you to look beyond the tangible

  • @pookermucker05

It is billions of galaxies in our universe, and no such being can exist in any galaxy, or in any universe. There cannot be any omniscient persons, there cannot be any omnipotent persons, there cannot be any perfect persons; they cannot exist and therefore do not exist. I could be a millionaire or a murderer but that doesn't make me one. Gods cannot exist for the same reasons 10 sided triangles exist

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine are you sure that we have discovered every element in all the universe in the vastness of space? Do we even know every species on our own tiny planet... what if it wasn't a person at all, but a force of energy. energy can take many forms. Are you sure that the omnipotent, omniscient, thing which you speak of is a person at all? What if it was a force, not of nature, but the driving force behind it?

  • @pookermucker05

And? Your argument doesn't follow. I could be a millionaire but that doesn't mean that I am one. Does does not imply can. A force being omnipotent is absurd and laughable. As I said no omnipotent thing can exist, person or no person. There are no gods, no person gods and no non person gods. End of story

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine maybe that's the end of your story, but that doesn't make it a truth. All I would ask you to do is to look beyond what you can physically see and maybe think of something a little more abstract. For example, every person has a mind. Can you see someones mind? Or a color. What is blue? Its just a reflection of light, but the blue i see may different from the blue you see, so how is to say what exactly blue is? But I am not going to pretend that i have all the answers.

  • @pookermucker05

The logic and evidence makes it the truth. Science is what we use to look beyond what we can see, faith leads us astray. Blue is wavelength of visible electromagnetic radiation. The way in which we see it is relative to the configuration of our eyes. Im not interested in someone's matrix mind, Im interested in reality and the truth, Logic, philosophy, and science are the rational disciplines that allow us to find out what it is. Also abstract means simple and clean cut

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine i think its time we just agree to disagree. Your absolute truth is that there is no god, and that works for you, which is totally fine. I'm sure one day we will find out who is right, that may or may not be me, and honestly im done arguing. My faith makes me who I am. I know what i want out of life. Does that make me delusional.. maybe, but at least im happy and thats enough for me.

  • @pookermucker05

We found out already, god isn't real and does not exist anywhere.

Saying you want to believe in something to make you happy, even if it is false? If so that is being irrational and yes being delusional. I have no problem with that but don't go around enforcing your religion on others or posing your beliefs as fact when they are lies

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine It is so much more than just religion, but I have not forced my beliefs on anyone. I only stated an opinion. You have stated yours. That doesn't mean that I am right and you are wrong, or vice versa. Everyone gets to theorize about where they came from and believe what they want. I am allowed to have my own beliefs and you are too. Does that mean we agree, no. Does that mean we can not coexist, no. I would ask that we are tolerant of each other and not disrespectful.

  • @pookermucker05

I never said I disrespected you or that you cannot practice your beliefs. And yes coexistance can be done, you are one of the few theists that I have advocate it

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine well then my furry friend, ill will no longer question your beliefs if you no longer question mine... lol for me its always interesting to hear someone's perspective only if to widen my own. I think it is important to hear another side of the story to understand the entirety of what i believe.. if that makes any sense at all.

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine ok, nevermind he doesn't exist

but if your belief is strong enough he can exist

it is non existance and existance

in time and out of time

  • the string theory suggests that there could be entire parallel universes that we simply can't see. If we were to speculate about the origin of life and say that at some point our universe collided with another, and suggest that that universe was intellectually superior and also infinite, why couldn't that other universe simply be what we call God? Also, if all matter in the universe is composed of vibrating strings, what set them into motion in the first place?

  • gravitons dont exist wast of time and money strong theory is a noob science theroy.

  • plus god and religion helped to create the fucked up ego we have now becuase people rationally ignore facts that we are just animals that have evolved with superior intelligence. we see people ruining the enviroment. rape the earth. kill inocent people for believing in a different religion. kill inocent animals. all to try to do what god wants us to do.and thats live a restriced life and try to get into a heaven- another lie. fact- all living organisms share the SAME amino acids that make up dna

  • @MrJackclarke Amen to that brother lol, the sooner people wake up to that the better for all of us

  • Comment removed

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl Seriously dude I'm going to get primitive with you. I would love to find you and beat the shit out of you. People like you annoy the shit out of me. Having an extended vocabulary doesn't make you a smart person. Part of being smart is being able to explain things in a simplistic manner. So fuck you. Go away you douche bag nobody likes you.

  • String theory is the closest science has come come yet to proving the existence of God. Its great and I love it. People's minds are waking up to new possibilities, even as the horrors and evils of the world come crashing down around us. This gives me great hope for the future of all life. Amen and Namaste.

  • @AllRelatives8 How so? I am a theist, but I am interested how you arrived at this conclusion.

  • @Rockstafeller wanna stroke my g string?

  • @AllRelatives8

do you believe we could pray for peace and abondance in the other universes?

Could we pray for ourselfs in the other parallel universes?

could we pass on knowledge to a lower self in a parallel universe?

could we take knowledge from a parallel universe?

when we pick up a giutar and pratice it, can the knowledge from a higher self be passed on to us?If so can we be connected to the musicians of the past and the future as we play the proverbial guitar.

  • @AllRelatives8 -how does string theory prove the exsistence of god??? god is nothing but a made up thought in the mind. god cant, wont and never will do anything becuase it cant because it dosent exsist except for the place you installed it in your head. the word god should have never been created because its impossible for something with consciousness to be "god" like and if god can do special things then god has to have some sort of awareness...sorry people but god dosent .its fake

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl OK, I'm sorry. I may be wrong about saying that we can only hold 1 thought at a time. But my point was that being able to hold 1 thought, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 1,000, or even 1,000,000 thoughts at a time, still does not equal infinity. My point was that thought is finite, and that the finite cannot comprehend the infinite. They are opposites that can never meet.

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl May I be so bold to say, that if "a metaphor using human concept(s)" is not used, no one would have even a clue of what you are trying to say. As human beings having a LIMITED MIND, we can NEVER comprehend the UNLIMITED. Therefore, all words, terms, imagination, and, quite frankly, ALL THOUGHTS must be left behind, in order to truly EXPERIENCE the unlimited. The very purpose of thought is to limit the unlimited. How many things can you think of at a time? I'll bet the answer is 1.

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl Well, maybe so. Maybe it would be better to call it the "Vibration Theory" or the "Sound Theory" or the "Music Theory" or the "Harmonic Theory." Hey, that's good, I really like "Harmonic Theory," because it includes the other three I mentioned, and it also suggests a symphonic harmony to the universe. You have to understand that the "string" is a metal string on a musical instrument (and is not cotton string) before you can understand the true meaning of the term "String Theory."

  • Silly music at 2:40 to link into the LHC

  • 2:30 I guessed LHC. I was right.

  • Could time be a tensor holding existance inplace?, could it be another constant similar to light?, that is also distorted by gravity, that together these constants, (and others?) are the tensors holding the existance in the "bubbles" together? is gravity one of the tensors? is it affected by light and time? is magnetism another?

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl

I think, that its more like a membrane / bubble theory, I like "bubble theory"

  • That girl at 3:55 is HOT

  • they will blow them out of the water next year, but when are we gona find out what they found?
