Wow, not much has changed; the BBC even made patronizing documentaries back then. Taking soundbites of people making sweeping dumb-sounding generalizations about a subject which they or others probably have much more to say about. Dave Pearce is the only person in this who they haven't made to sound dumb (I'm guessing that's because he works for them). I'm glad that guy shouting "Bollocks mate" at 1:08 got included in it (I guessing by mistake though).

Sadly, I think a similar documentary would be considerably more sensationalist if it were to be made today. I remember watching in first time round and thought it would be embarrassingly bad now, but it's sympathetic, positive and wonderfully British!
