went to their concert on 1st of July , they rocked the fucking night .. I was just sad that from the hole arena only 3/4 of it were full . And that was a Whitesnake - Judas Priest concert , and after whitesnake many people left , I MEAN WTF !!!! THEY MISSED HELL OF A SHOW !! Was just a little bit after Saddam had invaded Kuwait, so Halford was really amping up the "One Shot at Glory" idea.

Anyhoo, I've seen 'Deth a buncha times since that show, and Testament once more in the summer of '92 the Smirnoff Amphitheatre opening for Maiden's FOD tour ...

@fittingly Have even seen Halford's 2000 tour for his Resurrection LP in Sept. of that year opening for Queensrÿche and Maiden on the "Brave New Tour"; and man ohhhhh MAN, was that Halford opener such an unbelievably, polyphonically DELICIOUS treat.

But man, the Painkiller supporting cast and show — the music itself — and the atmosphere in general = 2nd to NONE, man.

So yeah, like you, I, too, have seen a bunch of shows since then.

That particular one, though, IMHO = GOAT!!!!!

@fittingly I've seen Priest 3 times: '83 (Screaming for Vengeance ), '84 (Defenders of the Faith), and '05 (Revolution), and they get better every time. Every show was the best I ever saw...until the next time I saw them. They're coming to San Antonio sometime later this year, and I WILL be there! Priest is a show you gotta see even if you don't like metal. Chick I was with in '05 had never even listened to it, she liked Latin hip-hop, but Priest changed her attitude.

I've noticed, both seeing Priest live, and having seen videos live, that Halford seems to be getting to the point where he'll get into a register and stick with it for a while. His screams are getting fewer and further between, too. He's still an amazing singer, but his age is sadly starting to show. That being said, I hope he keeps performing for a long time, because, frankly, he's still awesome.

I saw them first years ago and sad wings of destiny is still the best album for variation, song smith skills and genuine real genius that started it all. Rather than a commercial success being remixed and re-released, sad wings should have the "treatment" and show what true genius is all about. A fine tribute to kk also.

saw The replacement guitarist in Fort Lauderdale on Iron maidens last tour as support with lAUREN harris and was very impressed, BUT he's not able to replace kk.
