13thwarriorviking is an asshole homophobe. Halford is a million times the man you are you little fucking cunt. He's got the voice of a god and who he fucks is his business. It's always those in the closet who are the most vicious to those who are proud of who they are. Go fuck yourself.
That part when he screams "And then he died!" gets me every time. I have listened to Priest since the day I was born, literally, On my way home from the hospital my parents had Judas Priest playing in the car. I always have and will continue to listen to Judas Priest until the day I die.
I wonder if I can play one of their songs at my funeral .
@therestimenow no offense if u prefer judas priest but i would recommend a tout le monde from megadeth to be played at your funeral, or maybe dream on from aerosmith both are good
@therestimenow What about Black Sabbath dude ! Please watch the Paris 1970 concert ! The whole gig is on YouTube ! Well 58mins anyway ! You wouldn`t be listining to this if it wasn`t for them !! Give it a bash bro ! Smoke a fat one first ! Peace Ye`All !!
We need to go on other metal videos and post comments about this song so more people will know about it. I think that if more people knew about this song, this would have alot more views. Thumbs up if you agree.
@MrBadmofo981 I saw them a few months ago on their opening concert of their tour they are absolutely great and the setlist is awesome have fun \m/ (^.^) \m/
went to their concert on 1st of July , they rocked the fucking night .. I was just sad that from the hole arena only 3/4 of it were full . And that was a Whitesnake - Judas Priest concert , and after whitesnake many people left , I MEAN WTF !!!! THEY MISSED HELL OF A SHOW !! Glenns comunication with crowd was just fantastic , and yeah i was a lucky bastard who took his PICK !! :3
@Dimecher58 first he has got the feedback going then hit the note with the edge of your pick, or pinch harmonic. Lick Library has a DVD with Danny Gill that shoes how to play this song note for note. There is a demo on youtube, type "lick library" you will find it.
@fittingly you had me till you said fuck stairway to heaven, you cant say something nice about the greats then bash another great at the same time. jimmy page rocks too
@fittingly I was there, 2005, Priest+Queensryche, best show I've ever seen. I'm 45, and I've seen a lot of shows since my first concert in '71, and Priest fuckin' SMASHED!!!
Saw Priest my first and only time in Tulsa, OK, Nov. 1990. I think it was Nov. 23, to be precise. With Megadeth (1st I'd ever seen Dave, too, that show); and Testament (1st also).
Anyway, NO FRICK'N JOKE, PRIEST ROCKED ON THAT TOUR, TOO, MAN!!!
Was just a little bit after Saddam had invaded Kuwait, so Halford was really amping up the "One Shot at Glory" idea.
Honestly, man, I was kinda scared before the show. Saw all the bikers, and ...
@fittingly ... thought my bro and I were gonna get our bucolic (which isn't to imply that Tulsa is itself any kind of a metro) asses kicked. By the end of the show, we both talked bout how awesome -- and how METAL — it was that it was some kind of big extended family, the fans. Nobody tried to ruin the show for anybody.
Anyhoo, I've seen 'Deth a buncha times since that show, and Testament once more in the summer of '92 the Smirnoff Amphitheatre opening for Maiden's FOD tour ...
@fittingly Have even seen Halford's 2000 tour for his Resurrection LP in Sept. of that year opening for Queensrÿche and Maiden on the "Brave New Tour"; and man ohhhhh MAN, was that Halford opener such an unbelievably, polyphonically DELICIOUS treat.
But man, the Painkiller supporting cast and show — the music itself — and the atmosphere in general = 2nd to NONE, man.
So yeah, like you, I, too, have seen a bunch of shows since then.
@fittingly I've seen Priest 3 times: '83 (Screaming for Vengeance ), '84 (Defenders of the Faith), and '05 (Revolution), and they get better every time. Every show was the best I ever saw...until the next time I saw them. They're coming to San Antonio sometime later this year, and I WILL be there! Priest is a show you gotta see even if you don't like metal. Chick I was with in '05 had never even listened to it, she liked Latin hip-hop, but Priest changed her attitude.
ohh my god how can 31 people dislike this masterpiece.....we must throw them into one of our pits so that they will understand what METAL and THE PRIEST is about ;)...........................................
I've noticed, both seeing Priest live, and having seen videos live, that Halford seems to be getting to the point where he'll get into a register and stick with it for a while. His screams are getting fewer and further between, too. He's still an amazing singer, but his age is sadly starting to show. That being said, I hope he keeps performing for a long time, because, frankly, he's still awesome.
I've never honestly seen the point of someone viewing a video on youtube and ''Disliking'' it ¬.¬
.. like...cumon?!? If your one of them dislikes then you've obv not ready to listen to REAL music and i feel sorry for you. Cant honestly wait to see Priest on the 19th July this year in Glasgow :)
I saw them first years ago and sad wings of destiny is still the best album for variation, song smith skills and genuine real genius that started it all. Rather than a commercial success being remixed and re-released, sad wings should have the "treatment" and show what true genius is all about. A fine tribute to kk also.
saw The replacement guitarist in Fort Lauderdale on Iron maidens last tour as support with lAUREN harris and was very impressed, BUT he's not able to replace kk.
@PyroMessiah86 sad but true...kk and tipton has been in my opinion one of the best guitar duos out there and now that alliance is broken but never forgotten and never will be cause their guitar playing and music has made me who i am and i cant thank them enough for that :)
I propose that we send a message to Youtube requesting that they remove the 'LIKE' & 'DISLIKE' buttons. And in their place, install a 'SUPER LIKE' and a 'HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME' button. Who's with me?
...and while we're at it, have them remove VEVO too!
@Austrelopitecus yeah man, Maiden is right their - Rob is the better vocalist -Adrian Smith is fuckin as good a Tipton though, AHHHH I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!!--sorry for typo
