@TheShadowShow00 This is but one of the issues I have with this drill. This drill is so close to the actual movement that constantly letting go of the top of the tee could cause a player to throw the bat unwillingly. Another problem I have with this drill is that the top of a tee does not weigh very much. Throwing a tee like this is like throwing a wiffleball to increase throwing velocity. The wiffleball is too light to spur adaption.
@TheShadowShow00 I havn't used this drill but If I did & while I'm in the on deck circle I mentally prepare myself that I'm going to hit the ball. I hold the bat lightly to be more relaxed but I have never let go of the bat. I don't believe that this drill would make you do that but I have seen guy's let the bat go while swinging & missing at change ups. I far as I know they didn't use this drill, but that they held the bat lightly in their hands.
@bubblesmcgee2 While you may have a great batting average, that does not necessarily mean that is because you do this drill. If you did everything else the same, weren't any stronger, etc. and after starting this drill your average went up that may imply causation. Good job though, keep up the hitting!
Nice looking drill. I'm not sure if it will increase whip, but it will teach how to finish out in front instead of around in a circle. I'll definitely give it a try.
im not sure why but i think that throwing a piece of rubber into the wall or an open field is not going to teach you how to hit a softball over the fence.
What if you forget and throw the bat in a live game?? Dangerous drill.

You need to record your videos with a LOT more volume... I have amplified speakers, turned all the way up, and could barely hear this.

I believe its the whip factor of the piece of rubber. Snapping your wrists at the right time could mean the difference in 40 ft

im not really worried about the knob on the end of the bat hurting my hand... the knob holding the bat is another story.
