  • I just got one up'd

  • Normally when I see the thumbnails for videos of 9 year old virtuosos playing some really complex piece I curse under my breath. Then suck it up and watch it. But this.... THIS IS AWESOME

  • i really like this song!!!

  • Wow... I'm just learning this song and I'm a Sophomore in high school... and I'm considered "advanced" for the school I'm in... this girl has successfully made me feel like I need to practice 20 hours a day now.... 48 hours on weekends... I feel very shown up xD GREAT JOB!!!!

  • u r really good! im learning how 2 play this song now! :)

  • what is her name? she rocks!

  • I thought you were rushing a tad bit. I sounds like the pianist was trying to keep up. Otherwise, I THOUGHT IT WAS AWWEESSSOOMMMEEE! :))

  • So, all of you are crazy. This is AMAZING :D

  • bad sound quality... you can only here the piano

  • WOW!

  • It was impressive that it was played by a nine-year-old, but the piece just didn;t seem to flow together, there were different tempos throughout, but I mean it's quite an achievement for a nine-year-old

  • is there a good performance of this piece anywhere on youtube, or is it just a bunch of kids with overly-proud parents?

She's good, but I feel like any 9-year-old cellist could do this if they worked hard enough.

  • She's only nine year old here?

    This is awesome.

But at leasts she has some mistakes, ofc.

    but this sounds amazing!

    Girl,keep playing cello.you have a talent.

  • holy gees! she is so good! I've been at this song for like 3 months and could only wish i could play it that well, I've only been playing for 1 year but this is incredible!

  • she looks like 14

  • Yea, she did rush a bit. But lets give her a break. Shes 9 years old, and playing at a national institute. I would be eccstatic if I could play half that well at my cello recital and im 14 :D

  • I have been playing the cello since I was 4. thank you btw

  • How long have you been playing the cello? This is great by the way. You were wonderful, and you have a nice technique, very musical. =)

  • very good. i play cello too.

  • :O

oh my gosh she's so good

  • sure she was rushing. oh well. shes a 9 year old genius protigee. cant believe that. to think im fourteen and i basically dropped my cello while playing terribly this morning.

  • ... Not bad in my opinion. She rushed which was a problem

  • you seems so relaxed :) it's really beatiful. Great job!

  • SHE IS A GODDESS!!!!! Wish I could play like this...Im in book 3....

    GREAT JOB

  • and to think that through all that she keeps trying to get her hair out of her face.

  • bravo !

  • OH. MY. Gosh.

    I love it =)

  • An excellent performance :)

Was it an exam or just a concert ?

  • She is so cute! And amazing! One thing I noticed is how her hand looks like a spider on the fingerboard. (hence the name tarantella -_-) Just so everybody knows {I actually might have this wrong} This piece was inspired from the death dance of a tarantula, and "tarantella" means spider-like.

  • @vampireslink In fact, "tarantella", the name of this type of music comes from the fact that some people believed this music could cure a spider bite :)

  • @MagniXAriaste so I was sorta close hahaha ^_^v

  • @MagniXAriaste No, the tarantella's purpose was to make the blood run quicker after deadly spider bites, as to make the people die quicker and less painfully.

  • @Liamst3r Ok my mistake :/ Wikipedia seems not to be much informed about that xD (at least French Wikipedia)

  • @MagniXAriaste Lol kay. I played the song for my grade 5 cello exam earlier today :D

  • this is just inhuman its so fast!!

  • Incredible!

  • hulk dno deez felling in me is it jelousy?

  • suzuki for the win!

  • my fav part is 1:08

  • I'll be honest. This makes me mad :(. I'm 14 and playing this song... im very good but not nearly as good as her :/. But she is absolutely fricking amazing!

  • This girl's videos are my fav on the whole website! I watch them all the time because I'm learning the Tarantella as well as the Appasionato. I try to learn from this and put into my own practice. My mom always refers to her nice bow arm, which I am trying to fix myself!

  • I cannot believe she's 9!!! She plays so well!!! Just wwoww! <3

  • ur amazing

  • this almost doseent even look human....so good....

  • she is so young and so good its truely amazing

  • @PapermoonCutout it would seem so a little bit but it's incredibly difficult not to, the piece is all over the place on the fingerboard. myself i hate piano accompaniments. i always rush.

  • @PapermoonCutout Yes she was and the pianist was having a hard time keeping up.

But she's amazing. :) I play cello... Wish I had this talent and had started at the same young age that she did.

  • what grade is this piece for ABRSM?

  • 9 years old??? She's fantastic

  • She made some noticeable mistakes, but then again, I did too when I played this piece as fast as she did.

The middle section was fantastic. Lovely vibrato.

    A truly inspiring performance! Bravo!

  • true she did make some mistakes, but she played the piece so musically, they're hardly noticable

  • Can you tell me who is your teacher? You did a great job! I love your music.

  • wow! i love this! who's the componist?

  • dang you make me sound nooby!!!!

  • congratulations?

get over yourself this girl is really fabulous.

  • umm, yeah i know. im telling her this so that if she's not already in an orchestra (which she should be in considering her talent) she would probably make it in very easily cuz she's so freakin good.
