I'm a little misty, eccles. I was at the first game in '69, at Blue Monday in '81, and at their last game in '04. Seeing Steve Rogers brought back memories. From 1977-83, Steve was 5th in W with 107, 3rd in GS with 236, just behind Steve Carlton in ERA (2.93 to 2.87) among starters with at least 150 starts, led MLB with 26 shutouts, 2nd in CG, and 5th in Ks. Despite giving up that fateful homerun to Rick Monday in '81, his reliable pitching got them close.
