My friend you have been proofing what the blade quality,. amazing.. i like it so much , now iam order to have one for my leisure time outdoor survival..bravo zulu
This knife is one very strong, powerful weapon.I have phoenix2.It is a bit smaller tactical combat knife made for special Russian military units and it comes with a tactical plastic sheath and some kind of hard rubber in handle.I used it alot and can tell you that that this blade is perfect for combat and survival situations! In my country it coast about 120 euros.
Choice is yours.Have a nice day and good luck to all!
@blackforestghost11 first of all, really good review, thorough and shows the practical side and uses, i was just wondering was the knief as sharp as you demonstrated in the video as when you pulled it out of the box or was it that sharp because of sharpening?
The knife might be good, the review is not. 1. No protective glove on the left hand. 2. The tip is blunted after the metal action, I can see it from here. 3. What kind of wood? 4. What kind of metal? 5. "fail-throws" to check the handle? Come on, can't you think of a better test?
@yvranx I tell the steel type in the video - you might have missed this part by zapping through the vid.The tip was not blunted - maybe a light reflex might make you think so(I have no reason to lie, mate!)
Fail throws are very hard stress to any handle of a knife - try it out .
This video was one of my very first vids - I agree, there are a lot of points,I have to improve or think about to make better tests in future.Suggestions welcome ;)
@blackforestghost1 i was actually going to buy the pheonix, and the guy behind the counter said that it can be used as a step (because of the rib) so u can jam it into wood or inbetween bricks and use it as a step ( it can hold 110kilos). maybe another test?
i ended up buying the SH8, little smaller and more practical for me
@commando4500 Maybe,I will make additional tests with it,together with some other tough knives in future. If the kizlyar can hold more than 100 kilo -I don`t know yet( My weight is 106 kilo),maybe I will test it - I`m curious, too ;-)
Welches IST DAS BESSERE MESSER?
Hi Super Video. Dieser Text war auf einer Homepage.Dort war die Rede von einem franz.Stahl. Specs: Stahl: Z60 Französisch High Carbone, rostfrei Typ (0,6% Carbon) Härte: 56-58 HRC G.L.310 mm Kl.200 mm Griff: Micarta Brown das Messer in diesem Video ist aus russischen U-8 Vollcarbon.Unsere VersionZ60 Franz. L.G.Danke @blackforestghost1
That was an excellent review, my friend. I am looking to buy a KIZLYAR ''PHOENIX 1'', with an Elastron Tactical Grip . It seems that the results of these tests can be transferred to the Phoenix model as well. What do you think? There should be no difference.
I am very impressed with your testing, and I am going to watch more of your vids for more information. Count me in as a subscriber! Great stuff!
This is an excellent video, Thanks for posting it. I am Armenian and I love Russian knives. I was wondering what you think of the Phoenix II the second model, the smaller one? I am wondering which I shoud buy.
Wonderful video. I was already interested in the Kizlyar Phoenix 1 Combat and now you have me sold. My two sons and I love your videos and always wait for something new.

You made me buy one lol :) Not he same knife though, just a other one, but also just as big as that one. I am going to build a display board for my (small) collection, and make a video about it.

How hard is this steel? It doesn't seem too hard (fragile) but is it too soft? It looks good in this video but I'd like to hear more experiences.

I will do some more vids about Kizlyar models in future, soon.
