Sorry it took me a while to reply. No you can not set the time. You have 2 options. Set the stove on a desired setting, which will stay there all night, or set it to thermostat, which will keep your house at a desired temp. Eg. Stove set to 70 degrees. It will shut off once it goes past 70 degrees, then re-light when it cools below 70 degrees. Hope this helps.
I had a P68 installed. I am concerned that the "flu" out of the roof is too close to the roof. It is only 12 inches off. I live in Bend Oregon. Any advice?
Page 13 of the manual shows the diagram for going through the roof. They state a minimum of 12" to the top of your pipe, not counting your rain guard. Another $40 for another 6' of pipe that you could cut and add 6-12" more is pretty cheap insurance and peace of mind in my humble opinion. Hope it helps.
i bought a harman p68 last october heating a 2,300 sq ft home two story works great, had a wood burner in before,no more mess and hard work.lovin it!! you have a great video on how to clean stove great detail
Congrats on your new stove. We just purchased a P68 last week and are loving it! We live in an old farmhouse built in the 1800's with stone walls that are very cold, so it's like living in a refrigerator all the time. It took us about four days just to heat up the walls enough so that the rooms would stay warm. We run our stove 24/7, so we keep it very clean so it runs efficiently. It's nice to finally have heat in the house.
Sweet. Glad to hear it. How big is the house, sq. ft. wise? 4 days seems like a lot to warm it up! I'll be posting one a littler later on a thorough cleaning of it. I've gone through almost a ton of pellets, so I figured I need to clean it up to keep it kicking butt! BTW, which pellets are you using? I've gone through 10 bags of 5 different brands.
House is a bit over 3000sqft on two levels with a dirt basement/root cellar below. It took us so long to heat it up cuz it was built in 1862 and it's got thick stone walls which stay about 40 degrees (which gives the house its refrigerator effect). We have turned down the pellet feed dial to 2 or 3 now since the house is staying warm. We no longer use our electric or propane furnace! We go through about 2 bags a day and we're using the Turman pellets. LOVE this stove!
@nocando1234 I paid $3600 for the unit itself. The brushed louvers, and trim was another $175, then the slate at the bottom was like $40, Then all of my double insulated piping. I needed 15' of straight pipe, the cleanout T, then a kit that included the Flat Ceiling box, vertical cap, storm collar, ceiling support fire stop spacer, adjustable flashing, and the adapter to go to the stove itself, and the intake air kit. All of that was roughly another $500. $4476 Out the Door.
@nocando1234 I installed the unit myself, wasn't too difficult, besides putting it close to a valley, which I didn't consider until the install! We have a recliner chair in the other corner, and it's great for sitting and relaxing. Yes it does get warm when on high. We put it in that room so the living room would not get too warm and a little less noise from fan and auger. See my other video on the P68 efficiency. He does our house just fine! Great investment if your considering it!
I've put one of the fireplace Thermometers on it close to the base, it hasn't gotten past 300 F. go 10 feet up from that and it's even less. I've got 18' vertical to go through my ceiling, so I figure at the roof line, I'm prob. 150 f tops. That is on it's highest setting also...putting out 68,000 BTU's. Low or med, I can still touch the pipe for a few seconds.
The floor pad is 4x4 using 16" tile. I cut the front tile diagonally. Originally the stove was going to be set back some, about 9 or 10" inches from the front. I still had my clearance from the walls, but due to hitting 2 different trusses in my ceiling, I had to put a 45 angle on the vent pipe, and move the stove forward to avoid them and still give my clearance from any rafters or trusses.
hey congrates on your p 68 harman stove yeah my dad and i have ours for like 2 yrs rightnow and almost close to 3 yrs but Everything Great about this stove the Only thing that sucks for us is our Auger seems to gone out or doesn't seem to be feeding.
We just restarted our stove but the damn thing won't start soo looks like we gonna have to go to the dealer to have them take a look at it !!
Curious, did you ever find out what problem was? My auger stopped the other day. I finally fixed it, and it was due to too large of pellets. 2-3" in length. I was able to pull the backing off, unplug the motor, and read with my meter that the PC board was sending out 120 VAC. So Board is good. Was able to barely turn motor by hand, So I backed it up, plugged wires back in and it moved a tiny bit. Motor Good. Problem was it was clogged. Pushed past it, all is fine!

@Shaverklan What was the cost for the unit and installation, etc? Do you find that the room with the Harmon gets to warm? Thanks. Looks great!

I just bought a Lopi but I am quite intrigued by this stove. The operation looks slicker than heck.
How hot is the air it's dumping out up the stack?

Just curious how big is the floor protector that your pellet stove is on?
