Was a fluke that's all canadian players always do better name a county that produces better players that's why any team that wins the cup has 15 plus canadians
@L337karma Canada is a county? what country is it in then? But in all seriousness no shit Canada produces the most talent. Better watch out though, USA has alot of young talent, and probably better goaltending. Gonna be very interesting to watch the 2014 winter olympics
@R3DWINGS14 As a Canadian hockey fan, we definitely do fear the USAs young prospects. They have a ton of talent and are far far from the talent pool they had years ago. I wouldnt be suprised if USA is the new juggernaut of hockey talent.
Its nice to see talent coming from the states. Hopefully Hockey will become more popular in the states as its hard to watch a florida panthers game or phoenix coyotes with like 60% attendance.
By the time Americans make that realization Canada's population would likely be much higher than it is now due to immigration, and the athletic quality of these immigrants is higher than that of a person brought up in an American society filled with McDonalds and Cigarettes.
@R3DWINGS14 ehh i don't know about goaltending. USA develops one all-star goalie per decade almost. Take awa Ryan Miller and Tim Thomas and you'd have to go way back to the Mike Richter era. I agree with the talent though, California is coming up BIG in terms of young talent who can skate well
Definitely luck was involved with this goal and it can't be compared to Ovechkins goal because he had the right of mind to actually put the puck into the net and know where the net is....Ovechkins goal > this goal
the footage isn't slowed down enough to see if it deflects off of Sergey Zinoviev's stick or if he purposefully hits it mid-air...
Alexander Ovechkin's shot was clearly intentional and such a crazy looking goal...
some other amazing, but incredibly rare goals are directly off the face-off, like Mario Lemieux or more recently Jeff Carter from the Philadelphia Flyers
well tbh i dont believe him...the goal he scored was around the time he was getting a lot of public flack for not passing, essentially a puck hog (which is why he has/had so many shots more than most hockey players) as in Semin who usually scored and passed equally. i think he was playing down his shot to make it seem like he really intended to pass...but whatever if he says he was passing, than so be it...either way it was a crazy goal.
i wish i had the last name 3NHOBb6S

@R3DWINGS14 yep USA will generate more talent than Canada when Americans start realizing that Nascar isn't a sport and baseball is a junkie's sport.
