But in reality when he's confronted by someone who is intelligent like Greg Geraldo or Colin Quinn he gets smashed. Patrice Oneal had a great quote that England was "15 years behind the US in comedy" and Proops appeals to a similar crowd of psuedo intellectuals. He's an uninformed ass.

Colin Quinn is hardly an intellectual giant, he just brow beats his opponents into submission. This material may not be his best, I believe it was the first run through on stage, but on the whole his humour is sharp and witty. You may not like him, but he's informed and intelligent.

Although I have never met Proops I have seen his act a many times and I completely stand by my previous statement of Greg being a psuedo intellectual. Colin is well known in the comedy world as being one of the most intelligent comics in the business.. as well as Giraldo (former Harvard Law)
