  • if your a taekwondoist howcome you barely do any kicks

  • btw if you are right handed, the only mistake i see, is you lead with your right too much...

lead more with your left to start combo etc. if your right handed that is...

  • hehe me and my friend used to do this all the time growing up,

except no hand gear, lol our knuckles bled as well...

so my question is is it better to use hand gear or none?

without would strengthen your hands yes or no?

    Peace...

  • @Death2theNWO777 its better with gloves, saftey first. if ur hand is bleeding how long do u have to wait until u can hit the bag again :)

  • @ShikamaruTKD

lol figures... thats when we would stop for the day and move to flippn or lifting..haha

    thanks for replying back...

    Peace...

  • lol aren't TKD dudes allowed to punch people in the head? throw some high kicks and head shots. Most of those mid level punches would get blocked and don't switch stances, much it's throwing you off balance.

You've got good punching power, but the point of a heavy bag is to work on conditioning while practicing your combinations, it's not for random punching.

  • Nice, but make sure that when you punch, you always send the strike from the jaw. When one fist goes out, the other comes back to around your ear/jawline, protecting the face, and giving more power to the punch as it goes out.

  • So what do you think? The only training i have had is from watching youtube. Im doing transition videos.

  • :24 and 3:55 haha but thats a clean stance at 36-38 sec haha

  • 10/10 on the spinning back fists. Been watching to much Naruto or something.

  • terrorist!

  • I'd definitely suggest punching at your own head height more often. At least with jabs/crosses, that is.

  • You have some quickness with your hands, but you are punching just to punch. There is no real plan in your combinations. Work on your jab, everything works off the jab and punch to the head when you are throwing head, throw your punches at least to the height of your nose. And don't leap in with a punch, move into behind your jab.

  • thank you for the advise. i appreciate it

  • when u kick, try not to hit with your foot, hitting a person's bones or even hitting a block will hyper-extend your ankle and a good chance of breaking small bones.

the weapon is supposed to be the shin, a big thick bone.

when kicking, extend ur foot outwards making it lined up with ur shin

  • only if you kick wrong will your foot get hurt... TKD is all about foot kicking. Because the conditioned that part of your leg. It's all about accuracy.

And shin kicks you should only do if you have extensive Muay Thai training... otherwise your shins will wear out because they haven't gone through that tough training and deadened nerves from kicking hard surfaces.

  • don't switch your feet up it's popular for tkd but not good for boxing..you'll get caught in the middle and sat on your ass..start slow and keep your chin down..both feet on the ground when punching..And one of the most important things for boxing not everything has 100% power..when you throw as hard as you can all the time and miss you are over exposed and will be taken advantage of like the new guy in prison...oh yeah buy yourself some actual bag gloves. It helps trust me

  • Since you asked for critique, here are a few tips: Lead with your jab. Don't drop your cross after you throw it. Bob and weave, move your head after every combination. Find angles. Practice lateral movement while you punch. Don't bother to stop your bag when it starts moving around, move with it (you may want to weigh down the base of your stand). Get a round timer and do at least 3 rounds a day. Keep it up. And most importantly, have fun with it.

    Keep on keeping on friend.

  • theres alot of power there but you stumble quite a bit, try focusing slightly less on the power and focus on balance and accuracy more

  • woooow nice spining hook kick!!!...Try to learn the technique of a boxer...search For the ChosonNinja boxing tips, that would help you a lot, anyway try always to punch with all extension of the arm, with the weight low, with your hands always up on your guard,

    Nice kicks...

  • lol im more of a boxer but i think i could learn from you.

    good video

  • Nice speed and combo's

nice kicks at 1:57 and past

  • thanks alot!

  • your always punching down. are you planning on fighting guys 4'9?

i like you're handspeed and you're spinning heel kick.i'd like to see how you do wearing 16 oz gloves though.also, hang that bag on a tree branch or weigh down that bag stand!
