  • Good video;-)

  • What is the song in the background?

  • @JDTV1995

    Samba de Janeiro - Bellini

  • what music in the video?

  • @DJbasshunterDJ As it sez in the end: Latin House - Bellini Samba de Janerio

  • Would this battery work on a 30GB ipod because my current battery only works for about 15 mins so i need a new one!

thank you anyone that can help! =)

  • what is the point of changing the battery? do u have 2 or it will mess up????

some one please PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS I NEED 2 KNOW CAUSE I AM ABOUT 2 BUY IT PLEASE SOME ONE REPLY I AM ABOUT TO BUY IT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER MY 2 QUESTION

  • after a few months or years the ipod will eventually lose its charge like mine did. When you charge it fully, the battery will only last a very short time. Mine only lasted 30 mins or so after charging it all night.. thats when you know its time to change the battery.. you dont have to unless it needs changing..

  • It is a rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery which of course has a limited lifespan. So if your iPod has really short battery time or wont start at all, that is likely because of a dead battery.

  • does it work on 30g iPod because I cant open mine.

  • party! ^^

  • how much does the battery cost?

  • i've got one from ebay for 5 euros (shipment from UK to IT included)

  • damn the iPod is old!!!!

  • i didnt even notice the music lol...can u tell me where to find batteries for ipods with out ordering them

  • you shouldnt have added music. i cant hear what your saying.

  • Thanks - the music is beyond annoying - can you repost without that? It's sooooo distracting when one is trying to pay attention to what you are doing.

  • or you could mute your speakers.

  • but then we can't hear your voice guiding us through the steps...

  • The music is too distracting, but it was a very easy video to follow - thanks!

  • Thanks! I just ordered my replacement battieries today, can't wait to get my baby running again!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • It's "Samba de Janeiro" by Bellini

  • Thanks! I have an old gen 3 that the battery finally went on. I probably could have figured this out on my own, but having your video gave me the confidence to pull it off. I even tore some copper inside and my ipod still works great.

  • Lol, I'd probably break my ipod before I got anywhere near the inside of it... o_____o

  • Yay, awesome vid. :D

P.S. I've been looking for this song everywhere, my favorite hockey team uses this as their goal song and I could never figure out what it's called. ^^

  • lol "shove those in the crack"

    lol i'm so immature.

  • Very nice.

  • Excellent tutorial.

    Lose the annoying, distracting music

and it'll be a hundred percent!

I'll leave you 5 stars anyway,

but the music really is a nuisance.

  • i would just get a new ipod for that one cause it looks old =\

  • thye dont make em like the old 3g's anymore. why wud he buy a new one when that one works perfectly.

  • dude watch out wit da hard drive its delicate

  • dude u save me moneyyy woowhooooooooooooooo lmao umm i always thought if u took the harddrive out itll mess up the system but yeaa good lukkz broo

  • Thanks man, that helped me out a bunch. I can't believe Apple charges $70 for this service!

  • LOL shove it in the crack

  • this works for the first ipod nano's aswell?

  • No. Apple decided "Ok, to get it thinner than a pencil, we'll solder the battery!"

Some other guys said "Yeah! That sounds like a great idea."

iPod Classic 5th eneration has a removeble one, with a ribbon cable, not sure about the 6th and 7th gen.

  • worked well for me cheers

  • :( that ipod looks like mine. but mine's system has a software upgrade error.

  • you're aweome! thank you so much!

  • your the fucking men..for like two years i thought you could never replace the battery, thanks

  • How much is a ipod battery

  • like $19

  • @elementality4me like $8 wtf

  • 6.89 with free shipping on ebay, works great too :D

  • my almost 4 year old iPod (4th Gen) is working again, just connected it to my mac!! the battery was glued though - bastards ;-) . still I managed to change it. great video..

  • Could I buy it form you when the battery goes dead again? I'll give ya $50.

  • @ BarricadeSlade: no way mate... this baby is packed with memories, I'll let them bury me with it... sorry

  • if you think about it, not to sound like a bigamist, but most likely illiterate china men are assembling the Ipod and other cool technologies we love here in the western world, to be intimidated of these items when they go blinky on us and to be afraid to fix them ourselves only speaks to our cowardliness as a western world culture.. we are supposed to be the advanced civilization, right?

  • foolish...irrelevant..., as for the guy below - the song list is at the end of the video!! ...

  • wat song is that in the back ground

  • dude u wanna sell that ipod?? omg i wanna buy one of those old ones, i just bought the new ipod nano 3rd gen, but still i want one of those!!!

  • three words "go to ebay"

  • I tried looking on ebay for "3rd gen iPod" and I get like 10 pages with iPod nanos! It's freaking annoying, and another 5448549439 pages of cases. eBay needs a better search engine.

  • Good luck getting one of those my friend has one of those and its really old its like the first generation ipod or something but try EBAY

  • Ur the man.

  • Thanks for this!

  • You DO sound like agent smith . ... can you make a vid and say . . .

"What good is a phonecall if you are unable to speak . . "

  • Thanks man!! - Just bought an ipod and was wondering about how to do that !! given that the ipod is so dependant on its battery. Cheers fella.

    PB xx

PS - loved the vocal tones on the vis. Has anyone ever told you you sound much like agent smith from the matrix !! :0:

  • where can i buy the battery for my 30 gb ipod???

  • What's this? I didn't see this model of iPod yet.

    It's video iPod?

  • no. its one of the old ipods. no videos. no pictures. just music. ees ooold school.

  • Yes, it is old. 2003. That is why it is called a Generation 3 iPod and it has a nearly worn out battery. Other features it had were Firewire not USB so it can still be used to boot any Mac and install software right from the iPod. And of course it can be used as a hard drive. Another great use is as a photo importer from memory sticks when connected to the Belkin Media Reader.

  • Does any one know which stores to buy the battery?

  • We are partial to ipodjuice dot com (for obvious reasons). check 'em out when you get a chance!

  • that'll save ppl about 50$ in having to send their iPod to apple and getting it done for them

  • Thanks for the video!!!

  • whats the song called thats playing?

  • lol shove it in the crack! he seemed to no wht he was doin so he had learnt it b4

  • Its A N00b the iPod is ON when you the iPod press the button 'menu' and after you move the 'hold' button on left... this iPod is ON!!

  • Well done! Thank you!

  • clumsy.

  • ohh - helpful

    thnx :D

  • dudeee when did ur ipod came out???

  • You must be a stupid kid...New iPods don't need batteries, only the older ones. That's why his iPod is older...BTW I have the same iPod with laser etching, I think it's the best ipod ever made...I hate the click wheel.

  • I'm having a super hard time removing my cover even with the tools, it just seems not to budge any help;

  • We (ipodjuice dot com) have a blue tool called the iOpener that actually WORKS in opening up your 3rd Gen (and other) iPods. Check 'em out when you have a chance.

  • Just replaced my battery not 10 minutes ago and it's on and charging, so it worked!. I probably need to pop the case again as it's not quite back on properly, but it's 99.9% there though.

  • Very helpful. I changed my ipod battery yesterday.

  • ive never seen that ipod...

  • It's the 3rd genaration. The only model to have buttons. Microsoft's Zune kinda stole the design from this model.

  • I've got to replace mine soon and this video will really help, although I think there should have been more lighting and more closeups just so you see EXACTLY what disconnects from what - but either way it's still great. Thanks!

  • The music and the confused voice is gay. But the video is realy great thx

  • good job on the video! very helpful for people who need a new ipod battery but dont want to get raped by apple.
