I went yesterday and had a cheeseburger plate. It was fantastic. I noticed in the parking lot there were 7 cars with out of state plates. I talked to a bunch of these people on what to get. They let me cut ahead of them. When they saw my cheeseburger plate they were all "We'll take one of those". It was great just watching them eat theirs and watch their eyes light up.

I used to live in Rochester and there is absolutely nothing as good as a Garbage Plate. I moved to near NYC later on and whenever I had any friends who went to Buffalo or Rochester I would always pay them to bring me back 3 or 4 plates when they came back. They used to complain how the plates made their cars smell, but oh well, they should have drove faster lol. My mouth is watering even as I type this. My record is 3 plates in one sitting but that was with a dose of liquid courage going in lol.

I came to Rochester from India. go to RIT.

Before I came here i was eager to taste the original garbage plate, but now Nicks is not here anymore.

There are lots of other places in ROC where you can get this plate. But i dont know how it compares to the original.

we used to drive 80+ miles from Alfred state college at least once per month for a plate. The downtown location was dirty, smelly and dangerous. Many prostitues, crackheads and homeless people would be hanging around and I loved it. It really adds to the whole experience. A cheeseburger plate with mac salad, homefries, mustard and extra meat sauce was the best meal ever at 2am.
