I always see people putting labels directly on the vinyl itself and wonder if it ruins the stylus at all when it hits the labels. Anyone know if it does or not?

My undertsanding is it skipps the needle back one groove creating a loop. im no expert though, so maybe someone can confirm this :)

Hes using Dj swamps 'Swamp breaks' its a 2 lp battle record thats on the d side. Its a whole octave of guitar tones. He puts the bass down halfway and the treble up full i think leave mid in place.haha hope that helps (I wondered what it was for so long)
