  • I absolutely loved BOTP growing up and even today after having watched gatchaman and its deep storyline, i still prefer the interaction that the english characters had. Casey Kasem as Mark is unforgettable. This opening theme is so kickbutt!! Japanese storyline + American opening for the win--but of course that will never happen. I'm one of the few that liked Zark and 1 Rover 1 so I didnt mind them.

  • (cont') And that intention was to ride the coattails of Star Wars. As far as I'm concerned "GATCHAMAN" holds well enough under it's own merit. Currently I'm 48 episodes into the series & all I can say is, "I will never go back to watching Battle of the Planets," especially knowing how much was left out, yet they invented an R2-D2 lookalike 7-Zark-7, which I hated! However, if you're a fan of BOTP I highly recommend watching all episodes of Gatchaman. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

  • Great opening track but not for Gatchaman.....too epic as it's often compared to the Star Wars genre of 1977. I agree, the original Gatchaman theme, "Destroy Galactor!" with children singing is a bit cheesy but the 2nd theme, "Gatchaman's Song" (once used as the closer) is much more suitable & quite catchy, although I do prefer the instrumental. This BOTP theme could have made for a nice addition musically had it not been for the original intention of having it written in the first place.

  • The Phoenix Best Space ship EVER!

  • When you just have to make it happen, and when there can be no doubt in doing so. When you reach that point of your life when it is all or nothing, and the next few minutes of your life are critical in the total measure to equal the sum of your entire existence; it is then that you play this track... and win.

  • Aww this is more like it, use to watch this all the time following the mechanics of all the vehicles.

  • The late 70's version was much better then the G-Force 80's version. The voice acting for one was better quality.

  • love it. thanks

  • I watched this show in the late '70's or early '80's. It was called Battle of the Planets. Great seeing it again.

  • @MsBlueEyes1994 only in america. was called different stuff in other countries. i watched it as g-force too. sandy frank. but a couple years before that it was starblazers, and, if you were lucky, captain harlok/spacetrain galaxy 999
