i will give a comparison: Battlefield 3, a game for the realistic and tactical player; Call of duty Modern warfare 3: a game for the fast paced action shooter. The two games are for two different type of gamers and really shouldn't be compared to eachother as they are for different players, however personally i would choose call of duty... as it's the only one of the two that run on my acer laptop :/
Battlefield 3 have a better and newer engine with technology that the COD engine does not have and probably never will. Engine optimization example on this is that bf3 maps are allot bigger then mw3 and they can even support more players and deital.

the original call of duty series, before it ported to the console. Call of Duty 2 was the last time I felt that experience of being 'just a soldier' the MW series has lost me. @The9xc9 I would say: MW3 is the name, true that, BF3: graphics, even though its a good game. Because, alot of people where kindove BF fanbois before the game ever came out, i dunno if they could tell it was good, but it was the graphics.
In regards to engines, DICE has got it. They have improved their engine extremely well. COD's Engine is really the same. The only thing they have done for MW3 is improve the graphics. Looking at Gameplay MW3 is really just MW2 with changed up perks, new-removed-brought back weapons and two new additions to the Killstreaks. BF3 in terms of Gameplay has more to offer than BC2 with all the unlocks of weapons, attachments and vehicle attachments. Teamwork is imperative which is more challenging.

In regards to engines, DICE has got it. They have improved their engine extremely well. COD's Engine is really the same. The only thing they have done for MW3 is improve the graphics. Looking at Gameplay MW3 is really just MW2 with changed up perks, new-removed-brought back weapons and two new additions to the Killstreaks. BF3 in terms of Gameplay has more to offer than BC2 with all the unlocks of weapons, attachments and vehicle attachments. Teamwork is imperative which is more challenging.

Did this guy just say UN-realistic like MoH? Did you even play MoH? MoH in my opinion was better than CoD but couldn't beat BC2 because it had no private match support, which meant no clans were going to compete which is a HUGE portion of gamers, so MoH died, but in terms of how great of a game, it beats any game in realism, do some research before you make bogus statements. And another thing, everyone knows by now BF3 > MW3 game engine. MW3 runs on an old Quake engine that's been tweaked.
