The Titan 550 is not water proof but that's not to say it don't work in water! Most brushed motors will work submersed as the brushes still hold contact. When I had twin titans in my emaxx it worked fine under water plenty of times! The reason you killed the motors was because of all the dirt and silt in the water clogged up the brushes! Oh and monster mambas are not water proof! Nor do they work under water!

They are waterproof , but mudd isn't good for these : some mudd can come in the motor and ruin tu brushs . You can run it in normal water , not in mudd , and it will run very easy .

the problem i had with mine is it seems the stock titan 550 motors are pos's. im still trying to figure out a stronger alternative, a motor more for beating on than burning out. i put my truck through the same thing in this video plus some good mud and the motors are trash now. ebay has these motors for cheap. the titan 550 are a cheap motor.

on 5 liters of nito fuel you get about 960 minutes of run time that would be the equivelent of about 38 batteries of run time. brushless is better. you can recharge the batteries and never have to buy more nitro. nitro is expensive and hard to maintain compared to electric. nitro is way more expensive then just charging a battery. think about it, you have to out of your mind to truely say that nitro is better. the top speed of a traxxas brushless e-maxx with out changing the gearing is 50 mph.

you only get 10-20 mins out of one battery you fool thats 38 x 15=570 (mins run time) 38 batteries at a cost of £15 each so thats 38 x 15 = £570

5 litres of nitro fuel £22 so thats £22 divided by 960 = 43.3p per 20 mins run time so you suck go home go wait 8 hours for your batteries to charge and il go burn off some fuel.

Nitro is only hard to maintain if oyu dont know what your doing, with a well tuned well maintained engine a 3.3 will last you forever, its only noobs on youtube.

Are you serious? You must be a noob. Sure you have to charge batteries, but it doesn't take more than an hour. Batteries last much longer than nitro in the long run. A pair of batteries can last years running them everyday.

I would like to see a nitro truck wheelie at 40mph. Brushless with lipos do it all the time. Have you ever seen a nitro do a standing backflip? Brushless trucks do it all the time. Does your nitro run perfect in all weather and elevation conditions? Electric does.

the top speed of a t-maxx overall is 45 mph. a properly geared e-maxx can reach speeds of over 65 mph. you can buy 2 batteries for every 5 liters of nitro you buy and you can keep reusing the batteries. face it nitro is never going to be better than brushless.

it would be impossible for the mottors to overheat in water. the brushes on a motor wear down realy fast when under water and ruin the motor. runing them in water takes off the lubricant they have on and if you do that clean you motor and re oil it. you should probley avoid running in to much water for that reason. i have burned out many motors just testing things like if they will work under water and the water breakin method. But motors will run under water perfecly fine.

they died not from water, they died from overheating. the winding is burned so they do not run anymore. it is absolutely usual to put a brushed motor in water for fitting the brushes to collector. saltwater is no problem anyway if you clean everythin properly after getting wet. but its idiot to use emaxx as a submarine.
