@autoboi07 Noctowl isn't a greta flying type in my opinion. I played on both Gold and Crystal, and on my team in Gold, I have a Noctowl. I don't quite remeber the level, but i do reemember that training it was excrutiatingly annoying. In Crystal I ahve a Pidgeot and I do believe it is much stronger.

To be honest, This is the first EVER pokemon game I played and I JUST got it. haha. I was never into pokemon(digimon fan) but the game is good. My friend let me borrow it and yeah now im kind of hooked, But i dont understand some things.... Like the egg thing. I know you said that it matters how many steps you take but will it just do it randomly or no? and then after the egg hatches do you then do the puzzle? and how does the Flash thing work cause I cant give it to any of the pokemon I have :/

no lol the puzzle has nothing to do with the egg i like the togepi its evolve form is pretty good so once it hatches keep training it

Your games internal battery has died, meaning it can no longer hold saves. The best option is to find a replacement battery for it (check google for which ones). You could always buy another gold, but it'll be used and will encounter that problem again eventually. Nintendo are releasing remakes of Gold and Silver, known as HeartGold and SoulSilver, so you could always wait for them.

He's right I found Raikou just outside GoldenRod City before the forest when ever I back tracked to train he was level thirty I think and My Crocnaw was like 22. I was like yeah I AM SCREWED but he ran from me.

You can use Mean Look, to stop them from escaping. If you damage it in battle, and it runs, the next time you encounter it, it will appear with the same HP and status you inflicted.

That took me like 8 encounters with them to figure it out. At that time I had a level 57 Feraligator, a level 55 Umbreon, a level 56 Crobat, a level 57 Arcanine, a level 50 Suicune, and a level 55 Lugia.

If you have Pokemon Crystal, then read the inscriptions on the wall, and do what it tells you.

The one in this video says "ESCAPE," so use Dig, or an escape rope, then come back in.
