in the campaign lobby, press x. above the skulls, it will say scoring, or meta game or something like that. turn it on, and then play the lvl.

You have to do it from the start, without playing something different between. I was really angry when i played arch on legendary and stopped playing after the scarab. Then i got a skulled on another level and then i finished it on legendary. Now it shows i didn´t finish it yet, but i finished the game...
