Nope. There is always a set of BNSF power at West Colton Yard for the Colton/Barstow job, and BNSF run trains regularly, though not often, through Roseville.
Wow wicked awesome catches! This is the most amazing night footage I've ever seen in a yard! Does a bridge cross over the tracks or something or do you have special access?
Westbounds usually arrive in Roseville early in the morning (caught it twice, around 7-8 am), and the eastbounds run at night, so yeah, hard to catch.

Like that 'nite time' look, and you kept it in excellent focus. Sometimes difficult to do in the dark.

Pepper Ave. overpass is where I was. Popular place to hang out for railfans. No special access is needed.
