@stckmn11 Realized no one responded.. So i'll clear it up for ya! The numbers are in reference to the scale of the root chord... for example.... In the key of C, C is the root note making it a 1 on the number system. The next note in the scale of is D, making it the number 2... So therefore C=1 D=2 E=3 F=4 G=5 A=6 B=7 and then back to your C=1 That is the simple version of numbering... So if you have the 5 over a 7, you have G over B or G/B! Hope i helped!
