Capitalism isn't perfect, even though it's the lesser evil. And because it's not perfect, it has to be tempered by some regulation. Just because someone wants to regulate it doesn't mean he's Marxist. And BTW, what do you intend to achieve by calling him Hussein? Does that have any implication on his policies? Or maybe you just want to say some paranoid crap about muslims?

But that is the point - capitalism is perfect - at its best its a win win for everyone - as everyone is free to enter into and break contracts with others as they wish. Its when the govt intervenes in the free market in the name of fairness do things go wrong.

Capitalism isn't perfect. Why? Humans aren't perfect. If you let anyone run something the way they want, they are bound to get greedy. That is exactly what happened on wall street. Our politicians, full from their free luches turned the other way round and look where we are. Limited regulation is the answer. Note the word "Limited"

No, pure capitalism is perfect, because it relies on two individuals freely contracting with each other to exchange goods at an agreed upon price. No one is forced to engage in the transaction. No one is forced to sell something of value at a price lower than they have to. This started when the government forced lenders to lend to people who could not afford to repay their debts. The government perturbed the free market, and now its paying for that mistake. Read your economics. Adam Smith etc...

yes, and in business you also get people to spread the word if you are honest and do good work for example our collision repair shop. it is nice to have so many people call,  and say you guys came highly recomended, well used to until gas went thru the roof and business all of about vanished. Capitalism is great on many levels of goods and services. Not only are you able to make a living and pay thousands inTAXES a year, you get to establish relationships with people that last for years.

Capitolism can actually weed out greed. The problem though is when you let federal money inject life back into these greedy companies to keep them from going under.

Less greedy companies can sometimes field more of a competative edge than a greedy one. A company that is not top heavy in salary can offer products for less or use extra cash to invest into technology and make themselves more competative.

I call him Hussein to prove two points:

1) It is his actual middle name and therefore not a slur in any way, shape or form and

2) no one should be "afraid" of a name. It does not represent anything but the mans name. Hiding, or saying it cannot be spoken, gives it more power than it should have.

Actually, I have referred to McCain as Sinclair a number of times, and Hillary as Diane as well. I went through a ton of shows where I called everyone by their middle names. I'm trying to prove a point: if Americans are struck with fear simply based on someones name, or color, or gender, should they really have the right to vote? Of course they should. I want people to look beyond those things and focus on the issues, the character, the leadership ability.

The only reason the economy is messed up is due to government intervention. Markets are perfect when they are left alone to do their thing. Unfortunately every President since Roosevelt has stuck their noses in and messed them up. The Great Depression would have been a lot shorter had it not been for all the government intervention. And so with this "recession". Government involvement in free markets destroys the efficiency of the market and all of the prosperity it brings.
