Disney has said that Sky is NOT the son of Wesley Collins. But coming from me, I know he isn't and the chrono morpher(the Red Time Force Ranger's morpher) can ONLY be ACTIVATED by the DNA of Wes. So, he IS related to Wes but Wes wasn't his father.

Sky's father was a SPD Officer who was related to Wes. Remember in TF? The Morpher can only be activated by DNA that matches(Alex and Wes matched). So, obviously, Sky is related to Wes but not as father-son. And no, they are not using suits similar to Time Force suits. It's the SAME suit.

there's another theory as to why sky's father is wearing a red time force suit.. that suit may not be the time force suit itself, but rather, that suit as well as the other suits for the squad that sky's father belongs to are just based on the time force suits, meaning, like sky's father, the other members are not related to jen, eric, lucas, trip and kelsey

this may also mean that there may be other spd squads who uses suits based on other sentai/power rangers series.. so one squad may be wearing lightspeed rescue/gogo v suits, there may even be ninja themed spd squads who uses kakuranger/mmpr season 3 suits and hurricanger/ninja storm suits. at least one squad may even use suits that are similar to suits from goranger to jetman
