  • cant wait to get this lens!!!!

  • Uhm, why do you need another Micro-Nikkor that does the same thing?

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 so im not aloud more then one macro lens?!?!!??

  • Oh, you can have more than one Micro-Nikkor but that's just waste of money if you already have one.

  • What would you recommend for a D7000 body? the 200mm / 105mm or 60mm makro lens?

    Thx

  • No idea, it's up to you, depending on size of working space you need.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 damn you are getting on my nervs with that no idea its up to you shit

btw good reviews (i am not a hater, just honest)

  • *chuckles* Oh, get used to it. People can't tell photographers what equipment to use to make great photos. People can't tell authors what pen to use to write great stories. People can't tell artists what brush to use to paint great paintings. You get the idea.

  • @gievtehepix i use the 105mm on my D7000 and its amazing!!!...well on a DX body its really a 170mm. the 200mm *300mm on DX body* would be CRAZY lol

  • Hi Lilkiwiguy87. Does this lens suffer from the same problem as the 105 micro in that you cannot focus the lens without changing magnification?

  • Yes, it happens to all Micro-Nikkors.

  • i not good hear englsh sory

  • Well done.

  • i reading the reasons why you should leave your lenses inside your case for 20min before taking out somewhere outside...its crazy how you can create mold in your lens. It makes so much sense though how you put it. Thanks for answering that random question. (thumbs up)

  • Ive noticed in all of your reviews of AF (Non AF-S) type lenses that you say they must be in the camera bag to "absorb temperature difference" i have never heard of this could you explain what it prevents / helps with?

  • We recommend non-sealed lenses (not just AF or MF lenses; some AF-S lenses aren't sealed too) to be left in the bag for at least twenty minutes for it to absorb the temperature change before using to prevent condensation (fogging up the lens).

Condensation is where the moisture builds up on the inside of a lens, which could result in severe fungus (glass-eating mold).

Any sudden temperature change can cause this to happen, like you're in a hot greenhouse then jump outside in the cold.

  • Ah i didn't realize that, come to think of it i have seen many old (50+ year) lenses which had their coating ruined by "lens rot"

  • I highly recommend you to get rid of those lenses or put them in double-lock Ziploc bags because fungus are easily spreadable, which means it could get on your newer lenses and cause the same problem; eating the glass. It's just like... A disease.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87

Did you mean that the same thing can also happen with other lenses like 17-55mm and even DSLR cameras?. What if we put some big amount of substance like Silica Gel or other medicines in our bags so they will absorbs the moisture and fungal diseases?

  • Yes, yes, and yes.

  • Do you know why these lenses don 't have VR on them ?

  • VR technology wasn't around in 1993; Vibration Reduction technology didn't come until the introduction of 80-400mm (aka Nikon's worst lens ever), which is in 2000.

  • Great Review :) Thank You (Y)

  • thanks for the macro sample video with this lens :) !

    cheers from mexico

  • they go suprisingly cheap used in singapore!

  • I'm very love 200 f/4 Micro but why Nikon not make round diaphragm for it. :(

  • i love your videos.
