Thanks :) It's the first real level I've ever made, back in the first pre-release beta of the game. It's been a long time already... sadly, I had to stop making levels for the moment, it's just too time-consuming :/
I think they can be unlocked by following the in-game tutorials. All important objects can be unlocked there; scoreboard, checkpoints, tools, rockets and so on.
If my PS3 wasn't stolen I would have this game already. But unfortunately it was, so now I'm going to buy another one(probably off ebay within the next week or so). Been looking forward to this game for a long time.
That's a good input. In addition, the overall storyline is rather poor. I will not work on this level anymore though; but be sure that my newer creations will feature some improvements on those points.
All objects found in this level are obtainable in the tutorials and "the gardens" - the only gameplay sections BETA-players could access.
Most of the objects (mine-carts, ore quarry machines, cogs, "Toxic Gas!", Saloon etc) have been made out of... wood, metal, stone, cardboard and stuff. It's just triangles, squares and circles of everyday materials.
Try playing through some of the story levels and the editor tutorials before trying to make a level yourself, that helps alot.
Tracks: First, I made a raw version by just using the square tool at a small size and drawing one rail. The problem is that circle tool fails at small sizes as it adds material instead of drawing clear curves. Next, I cut off edges and other unwanted shapes using the square tool and triangle. then, I just copied the rail, moved it one layer to the front and stamped it down. Very similar for the minecart, R3 helps a lot when creating symmetrical shapes. For more info send me a YT message :)
dude you did it! .. so you say I got you interested in the game in the first place... and you bought a PS3 cause of me.. well you've made me proud. And how long does it take to make a level like this? Parts remind me of linerider!
Jup, I would probably have never heard about this game if you didn't tell me back then. I'm really glad of having been part of the MvsDK2 community.
Well, this level took me approximately 25 hours to make. It fills up the "level thermometer" which indicates how much stuff could still be added, but mainly because of the many little complex stones at the entrance. Thanks for commenting and subscribing, I'll tell you more in a PM.
Wow, thanks on all that amazing feedback guys. Never thought I would receive such reaction to my first uploaded video, I'll upload each and any good level I'm gonna create from now on.
Jup, I did also start thinking about those awesome minecart levels in DK Country, but I actually thought of them after starting to work on that section. This was a great game and I will make another minecart level in the retail version, trying to add more cool mechanics, jumps and action :)

What tools and procedures did you use to make the very detailed mine cart and tracks? I would like to make a level based around mine cart rides.

Very well done. Good use of the platforming, and the minecarts were well done with all the different paths and all.
