Well I am aware of the nuclear issue concerning North Korea. China does possess nuclear after all, maybe economically NK don't have as much influence as China. In future I hope North Korea can become part of ASEAN and work towards development of peace.

nk can't be part of asean because they are not in south east asia, but in east asia.

even china, japan, and korea are not part of asean because theyre east asian. but they are the +3, as in, asean+3.

but i understand what youre trying to say i think. why can't there be an aseasn+4 that includes nk, you mean right. i think it's because nk isn't really engaged in economics/commerce, which is what the asean+3 is all about. aside from the fact of being considered a rogue state by some nations.

Can u tell me why North Korea is not one of the Asean ? Most of the SE and East Nations are but why not North Korea?

Chinesevietguy, N.Korea until the country is abiding by international law will probably not be invited to any events.
