what really made me happy watching this performance is that she didn't try to copy the live version. others singers kasi copy the live version to make other people believe na gumawa sila ng own version nung kanta. but the truth is, live version yun ng original na singer. i agree with musicx44. medyo sabit sa melisma but still, she sounded good.

Not many people know it but this song is damn difficult to sing...Not only the belting...The melisma at the end is considered as The Magna Carta of melisma...Very damn difficult to describe...And only the rested Mariah can do it...Sarah sung it in a bit lower key and struggled at melisma at the end....

But the bottom line is...she sounded good...

I remember hearing Vision of Love for the first time back in 1990 and Sarah's rendition comes closest in tone and in vocal flourishes to Mariah's version from way back then. I wish she could have done the song's trademark whistle, too.

Yes, a key lower than mariah's version but still amazing performance from Sarah G!!. During Mariah's hey days, her voice was unbelievable [in my opinion =) ], like this song for example is very hard to sing. There are only few artists out there who can reach Mariah's range and sing her songs with power. So I was really proud of Sarah here,.she never fails to amaze me =)
