The problem is the manner in which the state was created. It was created by ethnically cleansing Palestinians from their country, stealing their lands, building settlements upon those lands, then declaring the settlements as part of Israel. Israel is illegally occupying these lands in violation of UN resolution 242, which was unanimously approved. The very fact that the IDF is going in by ground to hunt down their targets individually so as to minimize civilian casualties speaks volumes as to who cares more for civilian life in the region.

It doesn't matter whether or not Israel has a right to exist. Israel is there, and they probably will be for the next few hundred years at least. The biggest problem in solving this is that neither side can see the point of view of the other. I do not think it unreasonable for Israel to have to abandon their settlements in East Jerusalem. Israel has caused a lot of hurt (understatement), however they aren't going out without a big fucking fight. Their right to exist is not an issue.

That is true, but if everybody decides to change, but they all want change in a different manner, then we will just get more conflicts. That is why change must be lead by a leader that everybody will want to follow. I'm not saying Obama is the answer, i just think that there will never be an answer and as long as people disagree with how change should happen, we will have battles, wars, famine, ect.

Population depletion. At current birth rates, Palestinians would be a majority in the Israeli-occupied territories by 2030-2050. At that point, Israel would either need to give them equal voting rights, or admit to being a racist apartheid state to the rest of the world, which would be a PR problem. So whenever they get the chance to kill Palestinians- especially women and children, they take it. Not just directly, but indirectly by bombing hospitals and using chemical munitions. They are beasts

I do agree that Israel is a racist state. And i do agree that the answer to this whole conflict and the answer that has been there all along, is to rather just piling a bunch of jews into one very small place, and demand that it be run by the jews despite other races living in that country, just give them equal voting rights within the whole state. The problem is the manner in which the state was created. It was created by ethnically cleansing Palestinians from their country, stealing their lands, building settlements upon those lands, then declaring the settlements as part of Israel. Israel is illegally occupying these lands in violation of UN resolution 242, which was unanimously approved. Israel basically wont stop occupying and killing until Palestinians stop resisting the occupation and genocide

Which is why Israel needs to give in to the two state solution, in which they return to their 1949 borders, and all settlers who do not evacuate either become Palestinian citizens/residents or are forced to leave.
It's really sad how so many people believe in the two state solution, even Israelis, but no Israeli in power even attempts to do it. Everyone knows how this will end, and we are all just watching in agony waiting for it to happen.

It is possible that the blue lines on the flag represent the Nile and the Euphrates, but I am sure most Israelis today would not agree with that. They could also represent though the Mediterannien on one side, and the Sea of Galilea, the Jordan River, and the Dead Sea on the other... that is what Israel seems to be fighting for at the moment.
When I debate with Israelis, the seem to me like slightly more educated American neo-cons. I don't think they really know what they are fighting for.

The IDF could take out all of Gaza in a matter of minutes without resorting to WMDs. No educated person can challenge this fact. The very fact that the IDF is going in by ground to hunt down their targets individually so as to minimize civilian casualties speaks volumes as to who cares more for civilian life in the region.
I wonder who's got to gain from this conflict?

For every ball of light your see 100 metal fragments is bursting out in all directions. Entire city blocks are destroyed with one cluster bomb. Men woman children killed.

Seriously, you need to ask someone you know and trust personally who has military experience, those are flares. Ground reconnaissance is not really indicated for carpet bombing, that's me being sarcastic. Again ground troops are used for one thing only: minimizing civilian casualties, everything else is better done with air power.

I am tired of these protarian ideas, like only the military experienced ought to speak about war. It doensn't matter whether they were flares or clusterbombs. The fact is that Israel, even with some of the most advanced guidence systems in their bombs are still killing hundreds of civilians... which means Israel can control what they bomb, but still just the other day they hit a fucking school and killed 30 civilians, including children. Only 1 Israeli died before the invasion and 3 after.

Israel has a Western military and a people with Western ideals. It is common for Western peoples, and I say this as an American, to permit or ignore the killings of many foreigners by their own military to keep from discomfort. You have to realise, dEEpindEEd, this is one of the first events the West has seen of Israel's true brutality against Palestinians, and the West for the most part remains ignorant of everything else.
Also, Israel isn't bad at war, they simply don't care who they hurt.

From 2005-2009 Israel suffered hundreds and hundreds of rocket attacks from the peaceful "Palestinians" in Gaza. So many rockets were fired into Israel from Gaza that everyone lost count somewhere over 6,400!
For almost 5 years Israel did not retaliate in any massive strike. It was almost unbelievable that any country would allow such a thing.
