Bret Hart in "The New Blood" at the young age of 43. I guess all things being relative, it made sense with all the other guys being closer to 50 or 60.
See, there were actually some good angles/segmants in WCW at the end but so much stupid BS over shadowed it. I remember Hogan/Kidman being pretty good.
wcw shudve had this angle back in 98 when there were guyz like jericho mysterio guerrero benoit booker t and probably monday night wars may have still existed today
wCw was doing good with the New Blood storyline and pushing Booker T, Steiner, and Jarrett to main events while having Nash/Hogan step back, but it came too late
@lonewolf, if you remember, Kidman pushed hard for changes in WCW, and was one of the most vocal wrestlers saying that the physically bigger (and big contract) players should match up more with the smaller players (cruiserweights) and Billy used WWF at the time.
Billy blamed Hogan tremendously for WCW's turn of events at meetings. Hogan, to show he is a team player during the new feud, worked a program with Kidman. Great move by both men, but 3 years too late.
does any1 think dat the new blood was another try at an nWo rip-off??? jst see the facts----in hogan's 1996 bash at the beach hostile takeover promo he calls hall & nash the new blood nd dat they r the new world order of pro wrestling!!!
Russo didnt know how to do shit in those last 2 years. They didnt know what to do with what they had, you seen midcarders winning world titles and then had stars that should of been the face end up being the heel, the whole new blood vs millionaires was a disaster when guys like Goldberg and Hart is with the NB, the story lines Stunk.
That was nice seeing Bret Hart whack Hogan with the chair at the end. I'm sure he enjoyed it as Hogan had screwed him over a bunch of times before that including refusing to drop the WWE title to Hart in 1993.
Bret Hart in The NEW Blood? Proof WCW was full of shit. They want to push the new blood, the young guys? My ass! It's just symbolic of the lies WCW told to have a veteran wrestler like Bret Hart in a New Blood stable. Gotta love that quote too from the broadcaster at 1:41"We don't wrestle anymore in WCW." LMAO you got that right you don't wrestle anymore
@guy2008rules Nothing is wrong with pushing younger talent. That was my point. If they were trying to push young talent they shouldnt have veteran guys like Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett in the group. They claimed they wanted to push young guys, so they could compete with WWF, however they were lying. They had no desire to push youth, which is why washed up guys like Hogan, Nash, Flair, Hart, and many other continued to run the company. It is lies like this that fan got sick of and it killed WCW.
I always hated that announce team. And why the fck would WCW cut it off at the end of that Nitro and show the ending the fck n nxt week that doesn't even make fck n sense! God, WCW sucked at the end
Sad. What used to be a good wrestling show was reduced to this crap. Hogan in jail? Billy Kidman his nemisis? God it couldn't get any more lame than that.
Now Russo has brought his act to TNA and it shows. Lame.
i thinks it hilarious how Hogan refused to put Bret Hart over because he wasn't a "suitable" opponent for him... but he fueded with kidman and even let kidman PIN him lol... what a joke
hogan with his hands around the neck of a girl....torrie wilson...that alone would have made children and responisble parents alike throw down hulkamania merchandise and ban wrestling from their households in the 80's lol
I actually thought the WCW was on it's way back up, because it looked like they were pushing the young guys. But they were getting worse and worse and died less than a year later.
Wcw failed because it didn't know how to create new stars, they just recycled established wrestlers from the wwe after they'd reached their prime. With a few obvious exceptions.
Also they ran angles for too long, nwo for example and their stories weren't particularly good or original.
It's a shame the wcw of 2000 onward didn't get a longer run cause aside from a bad start it looked like they might make a good product.
god wcw was bad in 2000 seriously hogan bladed before bishoff hit him with that chair i have that recored on vhs tape. WCW just sucked in 2000 im sorry

they relised that wwf was pushing younger talent and it was getting over, so knowing dub c dub, they probably thought hey, push the youngest guy we can find and we'll only need to push 1 guy. lol.
@lonewolf2379 I know. I think Billy Kidman got his push just because of his pretty boy looks. WCW probably thought they could create a Shawn Michaels out of him. Hah!

Russo doesn't have the respect of his peers, though. Bischoff is widely regarded as a talent and a great mind within wrestling, even among those who dislike him personally.
