@lonewolf, if you remember, Kidman pushed hard for changes in WCW, and was one of the most vocal wrestlers saying that the physically bigger (and big contract) players should match up more with the smaller players (cruiserweights) and Billy used WWF at the time.

Billy blamed Hogan tremendously for WCW's turn of events at meetings. Hogan, to show he is a team player during the new feud, worked a program with Kidman. Great move by both men, but 3 years too late.

I'm glad Kidman got the push.

They claimed they wanted to push young guys, so they could compete with WWF, however they were lying. They had no desire to push youth, which is why washed up guys like Hogan, Nash, Flair, Hart, and many other continued to run the company. It is lies like this that fan got sick of and it killed WCW.

Wcw failed because it didn't know how to create new stars, they just recycled established wrestlers from the wwe after they'd reached their prime. With a few obvious exceptions.

Also they ran angles for too long, nwo for example and their stories weren't particularly good or original.

It's a shame the wcw of 2000 onward didn't get a longer run cause aside from a bad start it looked like they might make a good product.

In real life, backstage behind the scenes, Russo and Bischoff couldn't get along for shit in WCW. Is it perhaps because they are similar in a lot of ways? I mean think about it. I'm not talking about his WWF run. He was a mid-card talent in WCW. That can't be disputed. He belonged in the US Title hunt, as he was drawing little revenue. His world titles merely hastened the downfall of WCW. That said, Hart's two final WWF title reigns in 1997 were unsuccessful, as Bret was leading the company into financial peril. WWF knew this, of course, hence why his 4th reign lasted only a day and why he main-evented only 1 of 4 PPV's during his 5th!!! And of course, it was in Canada.
