@MsTranc3 Japanese paper, or washi, is a lot tougher than normal paper

yeah its really easy to rip it, just make sure when you pull the paper out you pull from the middle at the tip. after making quite a few and rippign them all i finally got it. if you watch the guy he puts quite a bit of strength on it just got to pull at the right spot

Not as good as the one from tadashimori. His lotus is big, with two colors, no ripping, and looks more realistic. But, it also uses 12 sheets of paper. Still, much nicer than this one I think.

This is some nice origami. By the way, you have very nice hand writing. That pen is pretty cool.
