Dog fighting is against the law in all 50 states and currently the Supreme Court has a case before them on this issue watch for the results as of 10/7/2009.

People who engage in this activity should get a harsh sentence 10 years for 1st offense.

That commercial is pretty much spot on as far as what really happens. Thousands of pets are taken every year and used for bait to make pitbulls and other fighting dogs more aggressive. I think most people feel that dog fighters are vicious individuals. Maybe some are; but most are just simply desensitized and don't have any regard for animals in general. Pretty sad stuff.

This message does absolutely nothing for dog fighting. All you feel sorry for is a little white dog, he is the star. Dog fighting is not about little white dogs, it is about pit bulls. And pit bull in this video portrait just as bad as those men: he is there to kill. You are right in your statement and it would shock most to know that VIP's of companies and as we seen in the vick case even "famous" people do this. Its a ugly thing and sadly most turn their head to it. The vick case made dog fighting more in your face but yet it still goes on and its always hush hush. Bettie, I'm a white woman, born and raised in rural Oklahoma, and have 13 "little dogs;" mini-Dachshunds, all animal-assisted therapy dogs who visit sick kids and elderly folks. Your comments are misleading; the HSUS isn't about "hype." It's about intolerable, vicious cruelty. Yes, livestock treatment must be drastically improved, but dog fighting is in a class by itself. Please re-think your position.
