  • HILARIOUS! This and AMPTP's New Proposal. Well done. I hope you all get ass cancer... lol

  • this made me really mad, and i'm not even a write, all these huge corp. are Aholes, like viacom and those companies.... good luck!

  • Me being a aspiring screenwriter, I think that, what the writer's being paid a third of a penny on DVD is ludicrous. I mean come on! If it wasn't for writers, tv and movies wouldn't be so hot. Al they were asking for was 4 cents extra on DVD sales and 2.5% on internet profits. Long argument short, the writer's write it, without them, well, tv would suck, so I think that the writer's should make some profit off of, iTunes/internet downloads and DVD sales.

  • Yeah, let's take a look at shows that (supposedly) don't use writers: reality TV. Case closed, lol.

  • Fred Armisen is a genious!

    GO WGA.

  • The "Hollywood Reporter" quoted Thomas Short, President of IATSE (union of stage hands & motion pic techs, etc.) as saying,"I don't believe the WGA ever intended to bargain in good faith. They are destroying a lot of lives in the process. As a result of their irresponsible and irrational behavior, the number of IA members who have lost work is approaching 40,000 people."

  • If you don't know who the AMPTP are...you have no business discussing the strike in the first place...but here you go:

AMPTP: Assoc. of Motion Picture and Television Producers, otherwise referred to for striking purposes as "the big 6"- the 6 major studios: Sony, Paramount, Buena Vista, NBC Studios, Fox and Time Warner. Note the media ownership and the lack of in depth/accurate coverage of the strike in the news?

  • AND, supposed person not AMPTP drone...

You heard for yourself in a supermarket 2hand info. and THAT'S enough to form an opinion?

Look up the definition of SCAB. It's not just a derogatory word.

As a matter of fact, the WGA is fighting for your "brother's" healthcare and pension as well as the $ protection of every other unionized group that works in the bus. of tv. and film as well as themselves. Their contract just came up first.

  • Your post just proves what I've been saying about the AMPTP paying losers to post anti-WGA lies on the internet, and the only 2 points they think people will buy into are:

ALL writers are rich, make hundreds of thousands per year, sit around doing nothing, etc.

The WGA/writers are responsible for the loss of wages and jobs of below the line workers.

Post this: the AMPTP tried to f**k the WGA out of deserved residuals, then played games at the table and broke talks.

  • You never answered my question drone,

Does the AMPTP pay you by the hour or by the post?

You are a very lazy drone BTW.

  • You are a lazy lazy AMPTP drone. Better write some original copy b/f your boss comes back to see how many lies you've posted.

Do you get paid by the post or by the hour BTW?

  • Thats some real funny stuff! What's not funny is being out of work. How funny do you think it is for 90% of IATSE local 44 members and the other guilds to be out of work? And....I see the "WGA" strikers out in front of Uni,WB,Disney and Paramount. Most appear to young to remember the last time you struck. -burbankblues!

  • copy+paste copy+paste copy+paste copy+paste. You clearly don't know, and don't WANT to know, a fucking thing about screenwriting. Go back to your grocery store, dude.

  • If that's the case then why are you commenting? If you don't care about the reality of the situation then don't comment on it. Intentionally working from a position of ignorance is the exact kind of madness one might expect from, say... Ronald Reagan.

  • You appear to be mistaking your average screenwriter for Tarantino or one of the other Hollywood big-names. Writing doesn't actually pay all that well, and although you might not suspect it, writing well is a difficult bloody job.

  • Thank you.

The AMPTP is NOT happy with the overwhelming support on the side of the WGA. They've hired the #1 spin control co. in the US. to aid.

One tactic they're using is hiring grunts (or just using their secretaries, it's cheaper) to post anti-WGA lies. The 2 big ones are:

    All writers are rich.

WGA is responsible for putting IATSE members out of work.

Oh yeah, they're also doing the "unions are for communists" one too.

  • Anything that keeps Seth McFarlane from doing any work is fine by me.

  • That was brilliant.

  • This is hilarious!

  • Are you fucking serious? That's enough to sit around all day? It's not enough to sit around all day in a deadbeat town in the midwest, let alone the fucking coast where the cost of living is ridiculously high...which is where most of the writers live.

You have no idea how things work, do you? You're glib.

  • median salary for last five year average was 66k. Those are LA and NYC writers. Itty bitty houses.

  • lol tony kushner can't be bought!

  • Most writers the WGA represents make less than the average salary in America.

  • Hey cool. At 0.46 is Bryan Tucker aka Roy in Roy Rules

    I've got this theory

    He was put on earth

    By God to give men

    SUCCULENT RUBB DOWNZ!

  • but in my dreams

he is dressed like a pirate

and my dong is his peg leg!

  • That was really funny.

  • i love the ass cancer and die bit lol

  • This is great! I have just one question: Who wrote what Fred Armisen is saying?

  • Most people seem to assume all writers are rich. Just like all actors are rich. Some are most are not.

  • lol hillarious !!!!

  • "most of the people the bitch about this stuff haven't earned the right to."

Well, you're right about that. So stop bitching.

  • Dude, seriously, you're really no making any sense.

  • asshole i lovethe strike

  • I would help most people out of burning car. But you would be a toss up.

  • Writers are not rich.

  • ass cancer lol!

  • u joker that fucking funny

  • lol at 2:05 you can see 2 of the members of Human Giant picketing.

  • Awesome. I want a doughnut...

  • hes awesome in snl

  • epitomises all that is gross in the USA

  • Ass Cancer!!! LOL

  • What do we want?: Nothing

when do we want it?:we trust the studios to decide that

    that was brilliant

  • omg i love you fred. marry me?

  • Is your family's financial problem in some way connected to the strike? That is the only way that I see your complaint as being credible.

How dare people have money! The nerve!

  • Lol he was great in this one!

  • He is hilarious!

  • lol

  • lol....ass cancer.......

  • hey hey ho ho you guys are a joke go f*** yourselves.

    HAHAHA AWESOME! so funny

  • painfully amusing... a car crash in slow motion

  • What's with the beeping? This is not only the 21st century, this is also on the internet. The concept of evil words is medieval and prudish. Fuck that shit.

  • lol I think you meant "gestapo."

  • BAHAHAH so great

  • Nice! Keep 'em coming if you can.

  • Great Job Fred! (Drumming wasn't half bad, either)

  • That was funny, That should play that before the Rerun episode of SNL...

  • damn, he can play the drums?

  • Fred used to drum for a band called Trenchmouth, if I'm not mistaken.

  • He's no Jens Hannemann, but he's pretty good!

  • You don't have to be a writer to know there are two sides to every story...

  • They studios have the money, end of story.

  • Irony is dead. Oh well.

  • Support the writers! Woot!!

  • wer they all really on strike or wer they just actors

  • LMAO! This is a great way to keep up with the news - keep the videos coming!

  • writers must write. our reward is these awesome videos.

  • I LOVE YOU FRED ARMISEN! You're amazing!

  • hahaha funny. seriously though writers stay on strike BLACK POWER!!

  • AAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • strike is fair and some nice comic relief right here

  • Uh? The writers are the ones who put the stories together, the actors just play it out. Without the story the actors are nothing, so I hope they stop soon.

  • Wait, you're against the strike because you like old movies?

  • "I think we should call it you guys...lets call it" lmfao

  • pretty good

  • "what do we want?" etc. i LOL'd

  • LOL!! hope you get ass cancer and die.. and then he quickly walks away... quick thinking hahahah

  • I am very proud of the writers for taking a stand. Why should management reap all the rewards. Without the writers there would be no television, movies and anything. Start negoiating and get these writers back on the job. Be fair that is all they ask.

    Maggie Kramer

  • "who do you write for?"

    "designing women" LMAO.

  • hahahaha

  • Lol, I'm surprised the guy who got the donut shoved in his face didn't kick his ass! xD

  • Hahah :)

  • lol

  • Seems typical asshole reality for those in control who want to keep it all for themselves instead of sharing with those who do the work.

  • this is so funy lol

  • too funny!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the guy from SNL

  • lol
