They didn't exactly use a different voice for the playback. They showed Balki doing the music video in his normal  voice, but when Larry and Balki watched the music video, the record company Balki was on dubbed over his voice for TV. Balki quit the music biz after they dubbed over his voice. God I feel like a nerd. It's sad that I know this.
