@charlieiscool1000 Thanks charlieiscool! Doubt if we were doing 100mph - more like 60-70! It was an excellent trip but not for speed merchants though..
@pjdscott ask him if i can buy his plane i dont have a liscence to fly one or anything but that wont stop me and i think my streets big enough to take off
hmm, shame it's mostly gateshead! Worth mentioning though that rumour has it that gateshead Council were storing some extremely dodgy toxic chemicals in the upstairs restaurant that features in the Get Carter carpark but it was supposed to be a secret nobody was supposed to mention. Oops . . .
I'm extremely sorry to hear that - disgraceful to demolish such a historic, iconic and rare piece. I was wondering about that, since it has not been touched since the fire - was the fire 3 years ago now?
I wasn't aware there was a fire there. I think the reason Gateshead council is getting rid of it is becase it has been plagued with problems and it would would cost millions to repair and renovate. The same architect also designed the Gateshead multi story carpark which is in the process of being demolished.
Thanks for your comments- we flew from Teesside/Durham Tees valley where there are two flying clubs. I'm lucky to have a pal who is a very keen flyer.
Agreed that it looks less crowded, athough Newcastle never feels to me like London, where people are struggling for space. I love Newcastle's town moor, riverside, parks and churches, etc, and I'm not a Geordie!
nice view how fast ru flying seems like ur going quite slow at about 100 mph?

Sorry - my mistake - we're talking about two different features!

I think you were refering to the Dunston staiths - not sure whats happening about that. There probably isn't the money there to repair it yet.

looks a lot less crowded from the air, but every city does from that height, nice footage where were you flying from?
