I have the same cpu as you do so does that mean I can do the same settings as you? I have 12gb of ram does that make a difference? cause I thought you had 4 or 6gbs.
i've never tried overclocking because i had never a cpu to permit that, now i'm going to assemble a new one,and i wanted to ask if the overcloking does reduce the cpu's life? btw thanx for the video
@Jayto91 Technically yes, but I wouldn't worry about that much unless your temps are constantly in like the 90's. The shortened life-span is marginal and most likely you will end up buying a new CPU before it actually dies on you from overclocking.
@Jayto91 iive been running and ep45ud3p for almost 3years now with a q9400 overclocked to 3.2 with no probs still running great i also have a x58aud3r with a 920 at 3.3 since day one with minimal probs so not really just keep an eye on all ur temps and all will be ok by the time it becomes a prob ull want to upgrade anyways let the addiction begin
CPU's have life spans in the decades, overclocking reduces this time by a few years...ask your self this, are you going to be using this CPU in 20 years anyway?
This is my setup i7 930, mobo evga x58 sli, 8 gigs xms3 corsair 1600, v8 cooler master cpu, 600 watts power suply, evga gpu gts 250, I can follow the same procedure? or i need to change something, please let me know...
awesome tutorial, great work explaining the basic. I am overclocking my 920 on a gigabyte ud5 before I move to my 980 and This really summed up everything I read. Thanks bro
i thought my speakers broke in the begining
