That little line he plays at 3:55-4:00 & 5:00-5:04 --- remember him playing that at like 11:30 in "Spanish Key" on the album as that dark section builds up --- love the recurrences
Jeesuss!! Folks HOW inhibited you are! Can't you see, that he is just devoted to all, that's going on! To the sound of the others, his feelings and reactions, the music that's just being born, the musical touches of miles... and and and! They are like lovers, sensitive, open, natural, deep, intense, tender, passionated. I DON'T want to imagine YOU in bed with your girl! Do you also tell her "Oh please baby, don't look, move, breathe, sigh, cry.... like that! I can't stand it. Keep Control!" - ?
Keith should let his music do the talking, not his ridiculous histrionics. He is an outstanding player; I own several of his trio and solo CDs, but I am quite frankly disturbed by his 'grunting...' at least I can't SEE him!
He is just getting into it and if you could play like a genius them maybe you would know. Any way how could any one stay still playing like that ? Maybe you can only try to enjoy his playing. Some of us actually can and I can honestly say I understand why he moves like that. He is playing like a god !! Some people can't really get into it so they poke fun at him. Any way I am to into the music to care about how he moves. 14 th time I played this today :-)
A few days ago I saw Miles in a gig (WDR) at the Berliner Jazztage 1972. It was without a keyboard player. Merely Miles touching the organ now and again. Maybe someone could post that, too? It was very good. Dave Liebman (I believe it was) delivered some awesome solos.
the original was on 'Silent Way' of course, but it morphed a lot between then and this gig.

@DrMerkwuerdichliebe No, it was from 1973. Miles didn't come to europe in 1972. Check peter losin's site or the site of Berliner Jazztage.
