  • the hunchback would have something to say about this!

  • Visit hawkthe hunter website and sign up to show your support for the long awaited sequel!

  • I love the warriors sitting around reading the papers with arrows sticking out of their chests

  • does anyone remember a movie of this type ..in which one of the characters a RANGER of blue-green skin color ..used a rifle that fired arrows and the rifle used small gas globes that grew on trees as propellants ? ive been looking for this flick forever forgot name saw it as double feature with HAWK! everyone thinks im nuts!

  • @TheAUDIOARCADE My friend... you are nuts.

  • @TheAUDIOARCADE Damn i remember that movie... Was it that movie where they were transported to some other dimension and they also used those gas globes to build fire?

  • @TheAUDIOARCADE I got it!!! It is called "Prisoners of the Lost Universe", and the full movie is right here on Youtube :-)

  • The Giant looks to cute in glasses =D

  • Amazing hawk the slayer music!

  • I wonder how different this film would have been if they had done it in Summer-it really was grey and leafless...

  • Always thought the witch-woman's look was excellent. The blind seer thing but a hot chick, unusual!

  • Hawk the Hunter 3D starts shooting on 1st March this year ive heard! Karl Urban is now supposed to play Hawk instead of Tom Hardy

  • @beatie99 Ooh that would be pretty good casting.

  • Can I be a Hawk-ite please? lmao

  • whoooo!!! There should be midnight shows of this every Sat night with a devoted group of Hawk-ites shouting every line.

  • Unless i 'm much mistaken this would be 'CLAPPERBOARD' with Chris Kelly.

Cool kids film show from the late 70's 80's

  • The character I liked best in this movie was the "Devil's Agent" or whatever his name was. That character should've been explored more. Totally evil basterd, hehe!

Can anyone post clips from "The Archer, fugitive from the Empire"?

  • Very cool post! Is this a DVD extra? How did you manage to rustle it up?

  • смотрел лет 15 назад-пиздатый фильм.

  • Anyone got any gossip on the "Hawk the Hunter" sequel that's entered pre production.

  • what is that music?

  • Hawk the slayer theme music!!!!

  • the quality of this documentary is better than the film!

  • Finally got to see "woman" with her mask off :). Its Patricia Quinn (Magenta from Rocky Horror Picture Show). I always thought its was a different Patricia, but there she is!

  • "This is a story of heroic deeds, and the bitter struggle for the triumph of good over evil, and, of a wonderous sword, weilded by a mighty hero...."

Anyone care to finish the quote? Only a true Hawk the Slayer fan will pass the test!

  • "...when the legions of darkness stalked the land..." I think that's it-I haven't watched it for quite a while...

  • Yes!!! We have a winner!!!

(actually, stalked is just stalk, but that's close enough)

    Way to go, connor828!!!

  • Jack waxing philosophic about the psychology of Voltan??? Um...Jack, it's a fantasy movie -- it's okay for Voltan to be evil through and through.

    Love this good-bad movie!

  • the interview with Jack Palance is unexpected class.

  • Ha Haaaa! You can tell that Jack Palance couldn't give less of a shit about voltan's character if he tried. He knew the score.

  • ..I think Jack was looking for a paycheck.

  • John Terry?? was that before his days at Chelsea?

  • 3:35 - "i'm sorry, u alright love?" hilarious

  • awesome post. so dug/dig this flick.

  • What a cracking post! I've never seen this footage. All those guys with arrows through their rumps sitting around reading the script really cracked me up. The bit about the eggs was interesting, though.

  • Awesome post. always adored this film for it's fun factor. Ping Pong balls ftw!(If you haven't seen it, look for the scene as they raid the church with the witch helping.

  • Not to mention the most creative use of silly string in any movie ever.

  • great to see everyone having such fun. must've played a big part in how fun the movie ended up being. great stuff, would love to see this movie again. thanks for posting such a gem. "look well, little brother!"

  • Thanks for the post.

  • Hawk and Crow... Two of the heroes I WORSHIPED as a kid.

  • This is wonderful-- the extra reading the paper with the arrow coming out of his chest, Gort with his glasses, and Jack Palance rolling his eyes at the questions about Voltan. I love seeing Morgan Sheppard and Patricia Quinn talking about their characters and showing that they were having fun with the whole thing.

  • alta pelicula, la vi por primera y unica vez hace como 20 años y nunca pude saber su nombre hasta ahora

  • Cheezy? Definitely, but it's 1 of the best fantasy films of the 80s with its medievalistic dialogue, great humor, disco-hero music, and brooding atmosphere. Is that a slightly tipsy Jack Palance being interviewed there? Maybe that was the secret of Voltan's charm. Gort & Balden are as funny here as in the movie. Now we see what The Woman looked like under her head gear. Great clip -- thanks! Why didn't it come with the DVD? If only there were more...

  • No way dude, either Conan the Barbarian, Dragonslayer or Krull is the best of the 80s.

Did you recognize Bernard Bresslaw from the Carry-On movies or Terry from Full Metal Jacket.

  • I agree. That roll call comprises some of "the best." And Hawk is 1 of them. I'd say the worst is probably Sword & Sorcerer, though Lee Horsley deserves an Oscar for most hilariously schmarmy hero.

  • Haha, schmarmy, I havent had heard that word for a while.

Sword and Sorcerer, definitely the worst. Note how I didn't mention it. I think it was a Hollywood attempt. Oh, and Conan the Destroyer is horrible as all hell - makes me puke.

I think Krull is the best of em all. Liam Neisen is in that too.

  • I would never have guessed such a bit of film existed. Thank you very much for posting it!!! Despite its many faults, Hawk the Slayer really is a great movie for the fantasy genre.

  • great 80's B movie if u like cheesey fantasy movies this is a total classic

  • Possibly the greatest behind the scenes footage ever!! {lol!!} Pure Class!!

  • I love getting a peek at what goes on behind the scenes -- actors reading the newspapers around the arrows sticking out of their chests, Gort with glasses, Crow showing the camera the bells in his hair (I could never tell what they WERE, before.) Thank you!
