  • this guy was my uncle :/

  • I have read about Mills. He was a few years before my time. This is the first time I've seen him-now I believe what I've read.

  • The hardest man to play league, or union.

  • Used to own a club in Cumbria...dont know if he still does...some of the widnes lads used to work on door for him. Imagine that Jim Mills, Kurt Sorenson and Andy Platt on door lol....no trouble in that club i bet.

  • Must be the hardest Rugby League player ever, one hard man!!!

  • didn't mills get banned for life for stomping on on new zealand player john greengrass face AFTER greengrass had scored?

    utter coward.

  • Anyone remember the wild bull of the pampus?

  • The wild bull aka Vincent Karalius ex Widnes also, Sadly Vinty passed away early this year.

  • he dont look that big to me .or mean . did you ever see les boyd in full flight . lol

  • hi fredie big jim was 6ft 4 and 19.5stone in his prime, boydy was about 5ft 9 and 15 stone he was an hooker in australia big jim was a lot bigger than morley in bulk

  • les boyd would have eaten him

  • your obviously to young to remember big jim.one of is hands was bigger than les boyd

  • Did Big John play in Sydney

  • you mean big jim,i think he had a spell with norths in the 70s

  • @gregrudd Yes he played for North Sydney in 1970 and was offered contracts from both Canterbury and Manly after the 1975 world cup

  • Tallis is the toughest mother in league, no one comes close.

  • Tallis is tough, but there have been plenty just as tough, back in the 60's there were some vicious bastards about, no tv replay's either lol.

  • I can think of Noel Kelly as being one!

  • they did not call gordon the raging bull for nothing

  • Wales RL National Team must have been formidable to play against in the mid-late 70's with Jim Mills and Mike Nicholas in the pack, both big bruisers.

  • "If I don't take a couple of lads out there's something wrong". Esteemed captain Mr.J.Peacock calls upon like minded forwards to apply for GB. Messrs Morley, Graham, Jones-Buchanan & O'Loghlin need not apply.

  • he owns top of the town club!!!

"6,2, eyes of blue big Jim Mills is after you"

  • not any more! he's closed it down

  • Classic . . ."sometimes I only get to two". Ace.
