  • I'm sad you left out the little bass part at the end...

  • Girls, try singing this in a deep voice. I bet you'll break it!

  • Fairly edited. Very rare among all the YT home made music videos. Thank you

  • That was bloody brilliant! Well Done!

  • @jakobsprenger that was a great comment! Well done!

  • ahoy!

  • Thumbs up if you're Singaporean and you think that video was a little awkward for you.

  • I love all music by Tom Waits. <3 & M

  • Niagara Falls, Canada, 2005...a holiday I'll never forget...because I was introduced to this song, and then Tom Waits in general :P

  • a very literal music video

  • i love this song video made me laugh song fits so weel with the movie

  • " ...heave away..... "

  • great stuff, good film, Pirates of the Caribean never sprang to my mind when i listened to this but it works really well.

Midnight run is a great film as well by the way.....Alonso

  • Genius timing on the clips. Thank you.

  • GENIUS timing. Thank you.

  • >just listened to first tom waits song ever

    oh no... OH NO...

    >spends three more hours on the computer.

  • Nicely done. This is amazingly good

  • very well done sir :-)

  • "Making feet for children's shoes"

    Greatest euphemism ever.

  • Awesomesauce! Well done.

  • This is actually very good video collage. :) I'm sick tired with "music videos" where there's just completely unrelated videos in background, but these clips were well chosen.

  • top.

  • IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE DID THIS!!!!!!!!! i always thought this song would match up incredibly with potc clips - thanks!!!!!!

  • First Waits song to ever pass my ears, my friend put Rain Dogs on my ipod and i could never go back

And for the longest time i thought Waits was black, until i saw a picture on the album! :)

  • @joeygarage77 - If Wikipedia is to be believed, that picture on "Rain Dogs" actually isn't Waits, though the resemblance is remarkable.

  • @joeygarage77 likewise 1st TW I ever heard - and on recommendation. My first impression? "What the hell is this?? How can anyone listen to this rubbish?" etc

But came to love it and the album it's from. Damn good

  • why? why the chinese ? not malays ?

  • great job :D

such unusual but great mix with video

  • this is so fucking fantastic...i have to say though, i was a little disappointed that you didn't use the "say goodbye!" "goodbye!" clip from pirates1 when the black pearl crew first sacks port royal, during "you must say goodbye to me"

  • Sweeeeet!

  • this is epic

  • That was great! It made me pull out my Raindogs cd that's been out of my rotation for a while now.

  • genious!

  • Fantastic, it's about time!

  • wow pirates of the carribean stole Tom Waits idea wow lol

  • Alright...you spelled tawny right the second time..I jumped too soon. This is a great little video. It would be great to hear a live version of this, with more power and scale...crashing, moaning, creaking, smashing....

  • That's tawny...by the by...moor....

  • I really wonder what inspired this song.....

  • really excellent video for an excellent song!

  • Hum, I always thought "sewers of Paris" was "shores of Perth"

  • You know, I have to agree with you. The more I listen to it, I hear Perth and it makes more sense because Perth is by the ocean. Paris is landlocked...

  • Well it's supposed to be sewers of Paris, apparently pronounced s'wers of Par's, but Perth still sounds better and is closer to Singapore.

Does the cd insert have the lyrics?

  • Unfortunately I don't have his cd. I discovered Tom Waits because we're dancing and stretching out to his music in my modern dance class. But the second time he says the line I swear it sounds like Perth lol.

  • No, atleast not the european one that I've got.

  • Genius! just Genius!

  • haha calm down

  • This is -not- how you act on a Tom Waits comment page.

  • wow! very well done!

  • Comment removed

  • Iron ore was used in construction actually so it makes perfect sense. It could be either of those lyrics but no ones going to feckin die over it so chill

  • im pretty sure its iron ore

  • Actualy you're wrong. Check anywhere and yo'll see that 'iron ore' is the real Lyrics. Get your shit straight

  • very clever friendo!

    nice mix...Tom is my lord

  • Good Job.

The movie really put my country on the map.

  • WOW!

  • I cannot imagine a title that is more likely to make me want to click on it Tom Waits AND Johnny/ Jack!! What album is this from?

  • Thanks. "SIngapore" is the first track off his "Rain Dogs" album.

  • @welshdevondragon In my opinion Rain Dogs is Tom Waits' masterpiece, which makes it the best of the best.

  • @alekshindin SInce a year ago I have bought the album and could not agree more

  • @alekshindin I agree! I putted it on my mp3 player and always listen it on my bus to school^^

  • good job :) love it... Rain Dogs, the album fucking RULES

  • What's funny is that this song alone, forget the album [which is amazing], is so much more creative and inspiring than that trio of commercial hack-films that it's absurd.

    Still a well-made video, though.

  • Great Job

  • It's eerie how well this song and that movie synch up.

  • ...but they don't synch. everything was hacked apart and re-arranged to fit ;)

  • This feels like a Disney sing-along they use to do on VHS. Nice work.

  • wow this was done so well! ahh love the movie never heard of hte song till now but u made it fit PERFECTLY it was rlly good!

  • Really good job :D

  • great job. scenes really fit the music. and i really liked the subtitles..

  • great idea, but dead the subtitles

  • Great job!

  • this track is fkn great

  • whered u get the all the clips? great wrk btw.

  • I love the editing of this and how all the clips fit in with the lyrics. Fantastic work once again!
