Looking at the very end of the shot, I saw something come quickly off the sail tether harness. It probably was him. I wouldn't be too quick to call the video a fake. I've seen it before, without the commercial tags. I think the commercial bought the rights to the video from whoever took it. Notice that the landing gear was down, and the plane wasn't moving fast like it was taking off (300 MPH). It was probably on a landing approach doing something like 150 MPH.
