  • Just download Live Focus and then you can turn the LED on/off just by changing a setting.

  • @theBTman

Yes sir this was back in 2010 before live focus

  • there are software hacks for this

  • why don't just put a stamp on it ?

  • @nutzw1

You can still see the light.

  • it's more easy with lfocus...

  • I forgot to tell you guys that i do this for a living.

  • @fa2ality just looking your tools i can tell that

  • HAHA not a chance I'm doing that and taking a risk of breaking the phone that cost almost $900.

  • Are you not supposed to use new screws cause these are 1 time screws?

  • @eitamaa

No they are regular screws .

  • i would never do this i will probs break it

  • Good MOD but way too risky.

I would prefer a software hack to disable the red led instead.

  • @themystical1

You wont see a software hack for this.

    Its not in the OS.

  • @fa2ality

looks like it is possible with Ifocus :D

  • @themystical1

I rather Do it this way than use a fragile software.

    Just my opinion.

  • @fa2ality

you'd rather take apart the hardware than install some maybe unstable software? hmm. lfocus works perfect for me. this just an overkill

  • @fa2ality damaged hardware cant be fixed, software can

  • @fa2ality yeah there is bloodyw ent through al that just to turn the light of could have used a peice of blue tack :)

  • @JC23333

Tried and didnt work, the light goes even through 3 layers of ductape .

  • I i covered it with some "liquid electric tape" and then i stuck a very small piece of aluminum foil then covered that with some more liquid electric tape for isolation and tack.

You don't want the foil to short the board.

The red light is between the two big flash LEDs .

    Good luck.

  • I can't actually see what you did to the LED..

I really want to disable it; did you just prize it off with a screwdriver or what?

    Thanks!

  • Wow, Looks really simple under the panels, is that one card really the entire phone?

  • Yes that's what i thought.

The hardest bit is popping the motherboard out of the case.

  • You are insane man...Good but No Go.

  • Every time i try to record my kids while they are doing something funny they stop what they doing and try to come and touch the red light, it's so annoying.

Now i record them with out them knowing it :D
