Oh yes, that is why we have the fastest growing light rail system in the US. Dallas, Houston and Austin are typically very Democratic Liberal cities (well, relative to the rest of the state) and sorry to burst your bubble, but we have nuclear reactors and the largest electrical wind farms on the planet.

1. Denial...hicks tend to be the last dis-believers.
2. The history of oil in the ground, in Texas.
3. The history of Texas politicians being in the pocket of the oil industry...including the Middle East.
4. The great distances Texans tend to drive.
5. The lack of clean nuclear power in the state.
6. 100% of Tx electricity being generated by coal plant...the dirtiest fuel there is.
Historically, Texans are the biggest carbon polluters, ever on the face of the planet.
