This song will always hold a special place in my heart and mind. It reminds me of when me and my two brothers and a friend just came home from a house party about 3am and as we were winding down just listening to the radio this song came on for the first time and it stuck with me ever since. Great times and memories. Im so happy I was living the best years of my young life during this era in music to enjoy the radio stations,soul train and all the bbq's during the summer in the park.

One of the best british black groups of the 80s, alongside Junior, Loose Ends, Princess. I remember attending a club in the 80s and this track was always gurantee to get people on the dance floor. Lee John(forgive me if I get his name wrong) was a charismatic figure with the costumes he wore in the videos.

Hard to believe "Just an Illusion" only reached #27 on the Billboard R&B singles chart and bubbled under at #102 on the pop chart in 1982. It should've been a monster hit. But it's nice to know it hasn't been forgotten.
